I’m Helen- a wedding celebrant based in beautiful Hāhei and available Coromandel-wide. After many years creating ceremonies in Auckland, I’m so excited to now be celebrating love in this stunning part of Aotearoa.
With nearly a decade of experience, my couples are in safe hands. I create warm, modern and personalised ceremonies that reflect you - with a relaxed vibe and just the right touch of humour.
From intimate beach elopements to fully personalised ceremonies at traditional venues (and everything in between), I love helping couples create a moment that feels meaningful, memorable and completely their own.
I’m also passionate about celebrating culture and language in ceremonies. I’ve incorporated Spanish, French and Te Reo elements before, and I’m always up for welcoming your guests in their own language.

Well… I’ve officially jumped on the ChatGPT bandwagon and had a caricature done- and let’s be honest, she’s basically a much cuter version of me! 💁🏼‍♀️(we’ll take it 😂).
Set in my happy place - stunning Hahei 🌊 Lucky enough to call this slice of paradise home and even luckier that I get to marry incredible couples right here.

Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary to the gorgeous Alvaro & Dave!
Their special day at Whiritoa Beach was nothing short of magical - a perfect blend of Alvaro's Spanish culture (complete with some Spanish elements and a romantic Las Arras coin ceremony) and Dave's Kiwi culture (featuring a beautiful Mihi to welcome friends and family).
I'm grateful for the opportunity to craft ceremonies that reflect the one-of-a-kind love stories of my couples. Reliving Alvaro & Dave's journey with their guests - from their 1st meeting to their wedding day- was a true delight. ❤️

Throwback to January 2020! 🌞🏝️ Remembering Álvaro & David’s unforgettable Whiritoa Beach Wedding. It was scorching hot! Our sound system gave in to the heat and I had to project my voice, blending with the soothing waves in the background. Truly magical!
As I work on an upcoming beach wedding ceremony from the comfort of my Hāhei home, I'm grateful to be indoors while this tropical storm passes by. ☔️ Stay dry, everyone!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!🎺
If you're planning a quick "signing of the legals" Registry Ceremony, you still have time! But be aware that the Dept. of Internal Affairs will not permit any Registry Weddings to take place during the Christmas period, nor will they issue any licences during this time (25/12- 7/1). Licences take around 3 working days to be issued, so bear this in mind if you have a wedding coming up. I will be working right throughout December and January (including Public Holidays) to officiate Personalised Ceremonies. And whilst you cannot have a Registry Ceremony during the Christmas period, you can still have a very simple personalised one. So do get in touch if you have any questions about your wedding and how we can help make it work. 😊

Today, as the sun shone brightly down on them, these 2 divine souls were married, surrounded by their family and friends.
And whilst I knew how to congratulate them in Spanish (the groom is from Chile), the German for congratulations was a bit trickier! 😳 I’ll settle for writing my congratulations! 🇩🇪

Registry Weddings have A LOT of rules: only 10 guests, no music, no photography, during office hours, and set vows. Talk about a no-frills affair!

On the flip side, Personalised Weddings are like crafting your own fairy tale, with a ceremony created from scratch to tell your unique love story. I LOVE a personalised ceremony. But, as you might guess, this magical experience comes with a bit more effort and a higher price tag. 📜💰
