Once again it really warms your heart when you get positive feedback from couples that you have worked with.

This recent one was very sentimental for me as the place of marriage was the place where I married my wife at the Nurses Memorial Chapel at Christchurch Hospital

"We had a lovely wedding at the Nurse's Chapel at Christchurch Hospital. Chris was very punctual, clear and sincere on the day. Prior to the wedding the arrangements were made professional but still relaxed and casual and Chris were very tentative and considerate. He soon felt like part of the family. He took great care in making lots of practical suggestions based on his wealth of experience but ensured that we got what we wanted. Our wedding was perfectly tailored to us and our love story. Chris is highly recommended, and I think a must at every wedding."

It so awesome and exciting to be back here in the Nurses Memorial Chapel at Christchurch Hospital. This is where I married my wife over 18 years ago.

An under utilised and stunning chapel!

A big part of the job of a celebrant is working with couples from other cultures and meeting their needs and requests.

I really enjoyed being part of an Indian wedding for Maanprit and Manraj at The Courtyard a new wedding venue in Christchurch.

Once again I got some awesome feedback about my service as a Celebrant......

"Chris was an amazing celebrant, really easy going and approachable. My partner and I did not get an opportunity to meet him in person before the ceremony, it was all organised over email but everything went by very smoothly. He was always quick to answer any questions or resolve any issues we had.

He was also very respectful and accepting of any cultural differences as this was an Indian wedding.

My partner and I highly recommend Chris."

A lovely morning Christmas wedding today at the Band Rotunda in the lovely Christchurch Botanical Gardens. An intimate small wedding for Rossi and Whenua who had travelled down from the North Island.

Sometimes weddings can be challenging. It was moving to be able to do the wedding of Vanessa and Mark. This was a wish for Mark who has failing health. I was so pleased to be able to offer some happiness for them and their families in these trying times. It was a beautifully set up backyard wedding on a gorgeous Canterbury day.

Celebrant work is rewarding and a difficult gig on these such occasions.
