The DIG THE DROp Christchurch Grand Finale last Thursday at DUX Central was everything!

Big hugs to every fan who carried their favourite DJ through to the finish line. To our Hospitality Heroes at DUX Central for hosting, we salute you! And to every DJ who registered and performed, we thank you. Without your courage and desire these movements simply don’t catch fire.

Thanks to DTD House DJ Briggs for warming up the PA over all six shows, your help was invaluable and your music outstanding. Lauren Marshall, our Host with the Most, was exceptional, your energy was insane! Thanks to our sponsors for the support, here’s to another round soon. And Bevan Triebels for capturing the MADNESS!

Howton kicked off with flare, a powerful young man and a well deserved Wild Card. MJ sadly couldn’t make it, so DJ Lunchtime (who blew us away in Heat 3) grabbed the moment and made magic. Ilycit hit the decks like a cannonball, all energy, slick moves and charisma.
Delicious, our DTD 2025 Winner, lifted the room with a cracking guest set.
B1, unassuming and calm, you can never judge a book by its cover. A ripper of a set and huge congrats on winning the grand finale in fine fashion!
D’Latino plays with a big heart and is clearly loved by the fans, super cool on and off stage.
Luminous played steady and straight as an arrow, see you back soon.
Low Def was more focused than a pair of Bushnell R3 binoculars, a thrilling set! Elliot and his wonderful wife attended every Heat, have a glorious honeymoon, you’ve earned it.
Bagzzz got us over the sweaty finish line in style, what a trooper!

Eight of our coolest Garden City DJ’s will be tendering the turntables to claim the spoils and be crowned winner of DIG THE DROp Christchurch 2026!

After five insane weeks - 26 Garden City DJ’s tantalised the turntables to secure their spot in the Grand Finale - the FANS cheered their hearts and lungs out for their favourite DJ’s and the finalists have been chosen by YOU - Thursday night is ready to EXPLODE!

Two Garden City DJ’s played ferocious sets but only one would take home the spoils.

The room was packed and it felt bloody good!

Four Garden City DJ’s played their hearts out to claim a spot in the DTD CHCH Grand Final on June 11th at DUX Central.

Lauren our Host with the Most keeps on keeping on - thanks for landing the plane softly.

Alfred Kirk set the stage alight - he headed off-piste for the first first 10 minutes but gained control and slowly pulled the thirsty crowd onto the dance floor.

Lunchtime came in hot - he’s big personality, knows how to push and pull his audience - a wonderful set, a wild card might be coming his way!

DJ Bagzzz talked a big game - he came and he delivered, the power of live music is wonderful beast - congrats on making the final young man!

WLKZ closed the night out with finese and style - a young dude that has it all in spades - great show, we love every turntable of it!

DIG THE DROP Christchurch Heat Two at DUX Central last Thursday night was throbbing!

Five Garden City DJs played epic twenty-minute sets of their lives to claim a spot in the DTD CHCH Grand Final on June 11th.

As always we thank our awesome sponsors and our charming hospitality heroes at Dux central for the love! Without the support these crucial movements simply would not exist.

DJ Briggs had another blinder warming up the PA.

Liam D our host with the most played a reasonably straight bat and as always held no prisoners! We wish him well on his trip to Asia and beyond.

Howton hit the decks with a purpose - he could have been playing in front of 80,000 humans - he was focused and had the fire inside! A ripper of a set.

Global Harmonizer has been around - a highly acclaimed musician in his early years from hip hop group Dark Tower. His set was awesome and one was not alone feeling it would have equally suited being surrounded by a 5am sunrise in a lush forest somewhere in Takaka.

Low Def hit the spot big time! He brought a crowd, he played high quality tunes with precise arrangements that connected! Congrats on making the finals.

Serranz was full of wonderful beans! An energised set to the max that I am assuming would have felt like running a half marathon. Well played, we loved your set.

Truss closed the somewhat colourful evening out - Truss is a young powerful DJ, he’s hungry to play, he lives and breathes moments like these and we were all grateful to witness his controlled chaos!
