Mr Meaty Boy #011

Up next we steer the ship back home to welcome Ōtautahi based DJ, Producer and Artist Mr Meaty Boy to the mix series, here they weave through a diverse range of club sounds in a mix that cuts like diamonds, yet flows like water.

A 60 minute demonstration of mixing genres together properly, yet staying consistent and confident in its sound.

Mr Meaty Boy (Ngāti Porou, Ngāpuhi) is an Aotearoa-based DJ and producer. Her DJ sets are techno-centred, deconstructed and focused on the spirit of dance and driving drum sounds. Her debut EP with protectionspell, Happiness & Intuition, was released on Echo Train Records in 2024. She is also a cofounder of Te wa an important community space for the arts and music scene in Christchurch.

Mr Meaty Boy is a resident of club night and record label HAVEN, and a leader within the Aotearoa underground club music scene. She has opened for international acts including TSVI, Jyoty, Boris, and horsegiirL.

Cimadevilla - #010

We are excited to have Cimadevilla as our 10th artist, after meeting him in Ōtautahi during his short stint living here and hosting him on our radio show, we have been following him and his music very closely.

His sound is hypnotising, proper and heady, a talented producer with tracks consistently being played by some of the biggest names in techno, here he showcases his DJing side with a powerful addition to our mix series.

Cimadevilla is an Argentine DJ and producer based in Berlin. He found his way into techno through an interest in its relationship with time, repetition and movement. His approach to DJing is intuitive and strongly shaped by the context. He pays attention to what is happening in the room and lets that guide the direction of the set, rather than following a fixed idea of how it should sound.

For him, playing is about creating a continuous experience and giving the music enough time to develop. The same curiosity carries into his productions, where he is constantly exploring different ways of working with rhythm, space and atmosphere.

Dual Lity for HTS MIX SERIES #009

We’re very excited to have Dua Lity, here she delivers a mix of selections, dark, powerful and unforgiving in its experimentation. Through 60 minutes she weaves through sounds from the comforting lo-fi melodies of Daniel Johnson to savage and brooding experimental doom music, with lots of surprises sprinkled in between, we are stoked on such a unique addition to our mix series.

Dua Lity is a self-taught DJ and producer who grew up in the punk concert scene of Nantes. Now based in Marseille, she has joined her new family, the Metaphore Collective, where she’s involved in curating and promoting events. She develops a cathartic universe inspired by the dub metal sounds of the ’90s. Often tired of tunnel-like DJ sets, she blends bass, dub stepper, and metal while maintaining a distinctly industrial signature.

A resident on Ola Radio since 2020 with her show End of Love, she explores musical chaos through sets combining abrasive textures and deconstructed soundscapes. She has also invited artists from the deconstructed scene, helping to introduce these new voices to Marseille’s audience. She then launched a new residency, DOOMCAKE, focused on Illbient and Dub music from the 1990s to the present day.

Dua Lity is her main project. In 2021, she released her first solo EP, Darkangel, followed in 2022 by e-dream with me before you crash, marking a more introspective exploration of ambient music. She later released tracks on Stranacorpus, Explity Music, Olga Productions, and Precious Metals with The Boss, asserting a dancehall metal direction in her musical productions.

Lockhart for HTS Mix Series 008

We are beyond excited to have London based DJ/Producer, FOLD resident and all round killer, Lockhart.

Lockhart doesn’t do genres—she dismantles them. A DJ and fledgling producer operating in a space she calls “controlled chaos,” her sets are built in real time, playing with the crowd as much as for them. Pulling from across the electronic spectrum and beyond, she stitches together contrasting sounds into something unpredictable yet cohesive. The outcome: a dancefloor caught between disorientation and connection, where nothing stays still for long.

Ebb for HTS Mix Series 007.

Originally from Ōtautahi and now based in London, Ebb is an electronic music producer and DJ known for pushing sonic boundaries. Rooted in influences from punk and metal, Ebb later dove into techno, trance, dubstep and jungle, melding these sounds into a unique signature.

Here he casts a spell drawing from a broad spectrum of techno, building 90 minutes of tension and release, executed with a sharp precision and confidence.

Hang the Saints is honoured to host a mix from one of our favourite DJ’s internationally, Wes Baggaley.

Wes Baggaley’s sound draws influence and encapsulates all the sounds we love, from techno to punk and EBM to industrial. His diverse taste is a product of over 30 years of collecting music.

Here he delivers just under two hours of power for our mix series #006 , we are absolutely stoked on this addition.

It’s a no-nonsense affair with Wes Baggaley, the DJ cult favourite of raw rhythms and pulsating electronic bass.

Born and raised in Wigan, he first set out with punk and grindcore records before the grip of electronic music tightened fast after discovering industrial groups like Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire via his favourite band, Godflesh. The nineties club scene beckoned, and after cutting his teeth at legendary local venue The Pier he started travelling to clubs such as Manchester’s Bugged Out, Back to Basics in Leeds and Liverpool’s Voodoo where he’d regularly catch DJs such as Derrick Carter, Gemini, David Holmes and Jeff Mills; all the while continuing to attend his beloved punk gigs. Naturally what followed was DJing, a patient decades-long span of craft honing with an inimitable palette of sounds.

That feeling from the dancefloor with Wes at the wheel is unparalleled, a sweat-drenched hysteria that encapsulates like no other. Acclaimed transmissions for Boiler Room, Mixmag’s The Lab and The Lot Radio plus a former residency on Rinse FM prove this, while regular appearances at festivals Glastonbury and Houghton plus clubs like FOLD, Berghain, Robert Johnson, Folklore in Lausanne, KALT in Strasbourg and beloved parties adonis and I Love Acid further the cause.

For our next mix, we present co-founder of Hang the Saints, Hunter.

Here she delivers her signature style, a track selection packed to the brim with ritualistic dark melodies over powerful drum work held together by the pulse.

Hunter fell in love with clubbing culture and techno music when living overseas, after moving back home she sharpened her craft and experience, becoming a well respected DJ/Promoter in her scene. Through her dedication she has gained residency at well respected and globally known club night/label HAVEN.

It’s an honour to invite Bristol based duo Field Case to HTS MIX SERIES 004.

In this edition of our series, the pair present a 90 minute, dark and hypnotic ritual with sounds pulled from all across the techno spectrum..

Field Case, as well as being talented DJ’s/producers, are also dedicated to the development of their local scene, both hold residencies at infamous local club nights such as .return and ._ and have a passion for pushing the sound in Bristol.

We look forward to seeing what they get up to next and are grateful for an amazing addition to our mix series.

We are stoked to have 75 ARROWHEADS representing Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s techno scene for HTS Mix Series 003, here they deliver a thrilling 60 minutes of relentless hard techno and pure high octane vibes.

Amidst presiding as a resident DJ and underground rave organiser for the infamous concrete carpark of BONDST, they can be often found lurking in the shadows around Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s rave and experimental scenes since relocating from Canada in 2023.

We can’t wait to see what they get upto next!
