A huge thank you to the Christchurch Airport Community Fund for awarding us a grant to purchase a new mixer.

This investment will enable our team to create even more delicious menu items for our customers, while also improving our efficiency in the kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed attending the fund event this week, connecting with fellow recipients, and learning more about the incredible work being done across our local community.

Exciting times at the Baking New Zealand Great New Zealand Hot Cross Bun Competition 2026 last Friday, with judging taking place at Can Do Catering HQ! It was a pleasure hosting the judging and welcoming Guest Judge Hilary Barry to our premises.

We’re thrilled to highlight the work of Can Do Catering team member James Dyer.

On Sunday the Can Do team successfully catered for 100 people at the Great Hall!

The event was for the launch of the 2025 Australasian Winter Conference for Brain Research, partnered with the Neurological Foundation of NZ, a perfect alignment with our values!

Can Do Catering recently entered the New Zealand Pie Awards with a submission in the Café Boutique category.

Catering Manager Marcus Braun and Head Chef Basil Paul put their expertise together to create a delicious Indian Spiced Beef flavoured pie.

Pies were judged on four criteria; pie top, pie base, filling, and baking properties including overall visual appeal. If it were up to us, it would be top marks all round!
