Our first meeting is January 23: Firsties Friday Race Night 🍻🐎 You'll be seeing more exciting racing information throughout late January & February, but, Spectators Bar & Bistro is still operating with Greyhound racing & pre-show hospitality!

Meri Kirihimete from Addington Raceway 🎄🫶 As 2025 comes to an end, we'd like to thank everybody for their support throughout the year. IRT New Zealand Trotting Cup Day was incredible, Trackside Dining kept the good times rolling, and our racing on course was outstanding!

💫 We're back racing on January 23rd to kick off 2026 in style 🐎 Spectators Bar & Bistro is assuming new hours over summer, so check out their Instagram & pages to keep updated with all events and information!

Addington is winding down for 2025 so here's some key info ℹ️

The office, communications, and updates from our teams will pause from 19th December as we take a pause on regular operations over the holiday season. Any event enquiries and general queries will be responded to from the 14th of January onwards. We thank you for your patience and wish you the best for the holiday season.

2026 Open - Wednesday 14 January
First Race Meeting - Friday 23 January

Spectators Bar & Bistro will remain open on alternative hours which are on our social media pages, regular hours and operation continue from Monday 12 January.

Can someone smell onions? The Grinch made a very merry mark on the final night of Christmas at Addington! With live entertainment in both buildings, great racing, and good vibes - there was nowhere else to be this festive season 🎄 After taking a break from stealing presents and ruining Christmas, The Grinch & Santa made amends on course last Friday.

An impressive way to close out the 2025 racing season! 🙌

The night was alight with festive vibes, summer weather, and fantastic racing. Both fresh and familiar faces came together across the course to celebrate racing at Addington one last time for 2025! Congratulations to all winners, owners, and connections - every horse put their best hoof forward with incredible skills and power on the track.

🏆 The Summer Cup went to none other than Republican Party in Race 9 (East West Fencing Summer Cup Free-For-All) with Carter Dalgety driving to victory yet again.

Ready for the next instalment of Harness Racing action? Firsties Friday on January 23 is the perfect night out to get more familiar with the sport 🐴 Free welcome drink, free entry, and behind the scenes tours of the IRT Stables all in one fantastic night on course.
