September is Wills Month, a gentle reminder to protect what matters most. For many of us, that includes the beautiful, wild landscapes right here on our doorstep. 🌿✨Check out this video featuring one of our Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust Trustees, Jack Gibbs! As Jack mentions, sorting your will gives you an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for the land we love.
When you’re reflecting on your wishes this month, we’d love for you to think of BPCT. A gift in your will helps ensure that the native bush, wildlife, and community conservation projects on Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū thrive for generations to come. 💚🕊️🎥 Watch the video below to hear Jack’s story!

It’s time to get training for the General Election in November! Get your voting muscles ready by having a ‘practice vote’ in this year’s Annual Bird of the Year election!

A message from wonderful BPCT And even though we are completely and utterly apolitical and would never ever try to sway your choice, here’s some photos of some very cute birds that you can vote for or not vote for...but honestly, how could you not vote for the cutest little tomtit ever. Or the coolest karearea ever. Or this cheeky tui. Or how ‘bout this dad pohowera and his chick...

It doesn’t matter if you’re left or right wing - make your vote count here: https://www.birdoftheyear.org.nz/

PS thanks to Jack Gibbs, Steve Attwood and L Richards for these amazing images 🫶

I am honoured to have worked for a fourth year for the NZIOB CET with their charity luncheon this past April. I learnt much about Motor sport from Anthony Leigh’s excellent interview of the entertaining Greg Murphy and we made an excellent wee profit too! Save the Date 7 May 2027!!

It was my honour to work with to create a wonderful Celebrity Netball match at Parakiore back in March. Much thanks to all the volunteers, celebrities and sponsors! I adore the conservation work I am helping fund raise for but events and weddings are still a love!
