Christchurch NZ. This allowed Martin to hone and sharpen his skills as a warm up DJ.

Martin's journey into Djing started at the early age of 11, after taking inspiration from his older brother who would practice in his bedroom. Realizing Martins keen and eager interest, his brother took him under his wing and began to teach him the craft. Martin's early dance music influences also came from his brother, the gritty heavy sounds of Hard House and the hyonotic melodies of Trance had

him hooked. Naturally, Martin's musical taste progressed, living not far from liverpool the local sound of Scouse House and Funky House started to feature heavily in his collection and sets. In 2015, Martin joined forces with a local promoter to become resident DJ for a techno event called 'remission'. Learning how to read the crowd and create a musical journey before handing over to the main act. Featuring on line ups with international artists such as Dense & Pika, Perc, Jay Clarke, Tommy 4 seven and Dubspeeka to name a few. Today, you can still hear Martin's early musical influences in his sets. The deep rolling bass lines and hypnotising atmospheric sounds of melodic deep trance, infused with the harder raw energy of techno always ensure the clubbers are locked on the Dance floor. More recently he has been on support duties for Bontan at Hide nightclubs 'Fun Factory' events and features regularly at their infamous Hide & Seeks nights.

Since having our little boy, my "studio" is now the baby's bedroom. So my dj equipment is boxed and stored away. But this weekend I had some free time and managed to set them up in the living room. New mix incoming!

Heard the very sad news that Hide is closing it's door after 7 years of being Christchurch's only nightclub. I remember going to the opening night and feeling so happy that we finally had a space dedicated to electronic music. Over the years ive been fortunate enough to DJ there and support international artists which im extremely greatfull for. Sam and Mitchel, thank you and all the best with you future endeavors. 🤟

This is a brilliant documentary that explores the rise of acid house and rave culture in the UK during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Born in the United Kingdom and now based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Martin established his foundations co-promoting and performing at underground techno events in his hometown of Liverpool. During this time, he supported a range of international artists, developing a strong reputation for his ability to read a crowd and deliver carefully curated, journey-driven sets. Not limited to a single genre, Martin’s sound draws on influences from deep house, minimal, progressive, and organic house. His sets are characterised by fluid transitions, evolving energy, and a focus on atmosphere. Since relocating to New Zealand, Martin has continued to expand his profile, performing at events with Cream, Notion Touring, and Sunset NZ, and bringing his versatile sound to audiences across the country.
