What a beautiful weekend celebrating TWO very special birthday girls who chose a unicorn theme for their party! 💜🌈

🕯 Personalised candle
❄️ Facial freezer moulds
💅 A fun nail polish station for mini manicures
🎀 And the personalised birthday sign for the twins to keep.
🍿 Snacks (with my always-popular popcorn maker for their movie night!)

When I first created this giveaway, I planned to gift three teepee parties this year.

But after reading your messages and seeing how many of our beautiful tamariki have been having a tough start to the year, I’ve felt completely overwhelmed, in the most humbling way. The stories, the honesty, the love behind each nomination… it’s been a lot to take in.

So I’ve made a decision.

Every child who was nominated will receive a teepee party for 3 from me 💛

I know I can’t fix everything. I know a party doesn’t take away the hard stuff. But if I can bring a little bit of light, excitement, and something to look forward to, then I want to do that.

To the parents and whānau who shared your children’s stories with me, thank you for trusting me with that. And to our kids… you are seen, you are valued, and you matter more than you know.

I’ll be messaging families over the next little while to organise dates. If you nominated a child and you don't hear from me within the next week, please reach out 😄

Above all else, let’s keep choosing kindness. Always.

✨ Butterflies, Purple & a Whole Lot of Pampering ✨

Miss Sophie had the clearest brief:

💜 purple everything
🦋 butterflies
💅 nails & spa time with her besties

And honestly… this party delivered ✨

Each girl took home
• slime
• face masks for peak pamper vibes
• snacks
• personalised sleep masks
• fluffy hair bands to keep hair out of faces
• the cutest scrunchies
•a mini compact mirror.

I also set up the popcorn maker with kernels ready to go for their midnight movie moment 🍿🎬

I often get asked about pricing, so here it is nice and clear:
👉 $70 per guest, and yes, that includes ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
Set up, styling, activities, keepsakes, the lot. You just enjoy the smiles 🥰

Kia ora Waikato!!
For those of you who don’t know, I’m a teacher. I'm very blessed to have two jobs I absolutely love! Teaching and event planning.
I’ve been teaching for 19 years, and I honestly cannot imagine doing anything else. I love it so much that I can’t wait to go to bed just so I can get up and go to work the next day… yes, I’m that person 😂
I also know that school doesn’t feel that way for every child.

The start of the school year can be really tough for some children.
So this term, I would love to gift 3 teepee parties to 3 children who might need something special to look forward to 💜
✨ Do you know a child aged 5 to 18 who hasn’t had the greatest start to the school year?

✨ A child who could use a little joy, celebration, or encouragement?

If their birthday isn’t in Term 1, a fun get-together with friends is just as perfect, or I'm happy to defer to later in the year.

Getting back behind the camera the other day reminded me just how much I love doing this 📸
Capturing moments of these three beautiful children was fun, so many smiles, giggles and little personalities shining through.
I’m incredibly grateful to the families who trust me to capture these memories for them.

I’m already looking forward to this Sunday, heading out by the lake to photograph another lovely family ✨

As I step into 2026, I just want to say a HUGE thank you to every single customer who supported Dream Teepees Events Waikato throughout 2025. Your bookings, messages, shares, encouragement and trust truly helped this little business grow more than I could have imagined.

This business is more than just Event Planning to me, it’s my creative outlet, my happy place, and something I pour my heart into. Being able to create magical moments for your children, families and celebrations is such a privilege, and I’m so grateful you chose me to be part of them.

I’ve got some very exciting new things planned for 2026 and I honestly can’t wait to share what’s coming next with you all… 👀✨
