Everyone thinks it's just pushing a button, but it's more than that.

What you don't see is the preparation hours before a meeting or photoshoot, making sure you have everything in case something fails.

They don't see the panic in your head, making sure you have the right settings, even though you've done it a million times.

No one sees the disappointed look on your face when a perfect photo comes out blurry and unsaveable.

No one sees the countless hours of editing and nit picking over which photo is better than the other.

Or trying to juggle photography and life together; people don't see how many hours we spend away in our little space, away from family, or put off other plans just to get photos done.

Sometimes no one sees the down days of "Why am I doing this?" "I'm not good enough" "My photos aren't as great as theirs."

But some days are worth it - the compliments, the appreciation from people you've never met before, the person who follows your page; it's the little things that do matter to us, even a simple hello.

To some people, we are “just the photographer,” but we are the people that capture the moments that last a lifetime.
