💬 A little update from me…

After a pretty massive year health-wise, I’ve made the tough call to step back from Hit the Spot and focus on looking after myself properly. It hasn’t been an easy decision — that kitchen became my second home, and so many of you became like family. But my body’s been dropping hints (loud ones), and it’s time I finally listened ❤️

That said — I’m not disappearing! From today, you’ll find me over at the Greenfield Tavern, still doing what I love: cooking, chatting, and causing a bit of harmless chaos (as usual 😅). Just with a little less pressure and a lot more work/life balance.

Thank you to everyone who’s backed me, supported me, and shown up through it all — I’ll never forget it.
Come see me at the tav, grab a feed, and have a yarn. I’ll be there, same sass, new spot 💁‍♀️🍔🍻

Unfortunately, tonight was our final service at South Otago Town & Country.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you who has supported me over the past 2½ years — your kindness, loyalty, and encouragement have meant the world.

This isn’t goodbye… just the end of a chapter.
On to the next adventure!

A big sorry to our diners last night who ended up enjoying a bit of an unexpected dine in the dark experience!

We’re hoping to have the issue sorted today 🤞—it’s been on the radar for a while and we did raise it with management some months ago, but unfortunately it hadn’t been actioned…

Thanks for sticking with us through the dark times (literally!) —we appreciate your patience and humour 💡🍽️

We’re really going to miss this – it’s been an emotional week, and Laura’s definitely shed a few tears 🥲 (and to be honest is heart broken)

She had hoped to stay on and keep the kitchen going, but ultimately the committee has decided to go in a different direction.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported us – your kindness and encouragement has meant more than you know. ❤️
