So lovely to meet you today Stephanie, did you have tulips in your wedding bouquet? 🥰

Hi everyone. There’s been no posts for yonks as everything we do flowers for has been cancelled over and over. Thanks Covid😏. I’ve decided as I’m not getting any younger, I am going to retire and just do our regulars when we’re allowed to have these events again. I will still do weddings for our family and friends. Thank you for your interest over the years and to those, especially all our beautiful brides and grooms, thank you for giving me the privilege in being part of your special day. ❤️❤️

So are you all over Lockdown? I know I am! Still, we have to do what we have to do. It’s been a lean time flower wise since we went into lockdown. The designs planned for the Howick Rotary Diamond Jubilee are on hold till further notice. Our Floral Art Club also on hold though some club members did do designs from our September theme. “Fun with Foliage “. Our demonstrator kindly offered to critique any photos we sent of our designs. Thanks Peg. See some of them on the Howick Floral Art club’s page. Meantime, keep safe and we continue to wait in anticipation! 😊😊

Prior to lockdown Jackie and I had planned what to do for the Howick Rotary’s 60th Jubilee. We were to meet the organisers to talk over what we’d planned and get their input to the layout of the room, tables being used etc. BUT guess what didn’t happen? Thanks Covid.... again!! 😏

Hi there, Facebook keeps reminding me to put something up on my page! As I had said in an earlier post I am now semi retired from doing flowers on a regular basis, mainly because the wiring of flowers for corsages and buttonholes especially is too hard on my hands, arthritis is a real pain😟 However, if you would like to take me on for your special day, contact me, I miss doing the flowers!
Take care everyone, and be thankful we live in New Zealand where we’re living a mostly normal life. Please sign in wherever you go. It’s such a little thing to do to keep us contacted should the worst happen and we get an outbreak of this Delta Covid strain. ❤️

Darn it I did it again! I forgot to take a photo! My bride and groom who have had their wedding postponed twice because of Covid and border closures finally got married last Tuesday morning (now the grooms family could come from Melbourne)with just their two families.Noelle requested a small simple posy in the colours she wanted originally. I used cream spray Roses tinged with pink, white spray carnations and sprigs of acacia for the Aussie touch. Simple but pretty. Love and blessings to Noelle & Ray. ❤️❤️

So I should be ordering the flowers for our son Andrew and our lovely daughter in law to be Dani’s wedding this coming Easter Saturday but guess what? They’re still in London and it’s not going to happen. Gutted for them and for our families. Hopefully next year. Bloody Covid.😩

Hi Followers. This is to let you know that sadly I am retiring from bridal work. ( my two sons being the exception!)The reason being is that the arthritis in my thumbs makes any wiring work, e.g. for corsages and button holes and some bouquets, too difficult to do not to mention quite painful. I shall still be able to do other floral designs for events etc. Thank you or all the support over the years. If you need someone to do your bridal flowers, I can give you recommendations. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Haven’t posted for some time! Well, the two weddings I had lined up haven’t happened yet as one is waiting for our border to Aussie to open so his family can come, also they are thinking just family and closest friends and Queenstown for the event. The other is still delaying also waiting for family to come here. So, a quiet summer so far! So if you are or know someone who is looking for bridal flowers do contact me. Getting back to my bride doing just the family wedding. As I have mentioned previously about one bride who did that as opposed to what they originally planned. I still think of that day where we sat at the back of the Historic All Saints church to watch, just how beautifully personal it was. The bride was stunning, the groom scrubbed up well and the bridesmaid looked beautiful! Afterwards, a dinner at a local restaurant overlooking the beach. All you need and it didn’t t cost a fortune. Worth thinking about. 😊

Here are the flowers that I did for Tahina and her bridesmaids. I had not met her before as the consultation was done over the phone with her Mum! She and her Groom had a traditional Fijian wedding wearing traditional wedding clothing. They looked stunning! The creamy flowers look lovely against the colours of her dress. The church had been decorated beautifully it’s a tapa cloth runner running down the aisle. Lovely to see something traditional like that. ❤️

Exciting! Had a call from a friend who asked if I could do the church flowers for a wedding in two weeks time. The bride’s Mum rang so we could discuss what is needed etc and asked “ did I do bridal flowers at all?” The family are in Fiji and as Covid interferes once again with wedding plans, they decided to just go ahead and get married! I have ordered the flowers and am looking forward to doing them. Bit different when it’s done over the phone and not in person!
