Auckland Celebrant Kerry Sorensen-Tyrer Kia ora - This is Kerry - I love being a celebrant/MC and wedding planner in Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland. Please get in touch and let's chat.

Micro weddings, sustainable and ethical weddings are my speciality. Kia ora - I'm Kerry, living in Wai O Taiki Bay, in Auckland with my husband Dave. We have 2 adult children Olivia and Toby. Dave and I have been married since 1999 so I truly believe in Love and Marriage. I specialise in Small sustainable weddings, elopements and intimate wedding packages. As well as offering Celebrant/MC service

s for all size weddings. I created Eco Wed in 2020 because NOT everyone wants a big wedding. Offering small sustainable weddings has been a huge privilege. Throughout my services, I can also assist with planning, on the day coordination, hireage of wedding and event items AS well as helping YOU reduce waste and single use. So PLEASE ask for my Eco wedding tips and/or head to www.Ecowed.co.nz

If you're after a fun, vibrant and energetic celebrant, one who takes the time to get to know you, then I might be right for you? As my clients, you will find I'm down to earth, friendly and "what you see is what you get". I'm here to connect with you and offer something very special ...... Not performative, not fake, just raw, fun and authentic. As a Woman, a Mother, wife, activist, humanitarian and environmentalist, Empathy, Aroha and being REAL, mean the world. I will always honour the whenua/land we are standing on and feel proud to be tangata tiriti (a Pakeha treaty partner). I can't wait to meet you, and see if I might be the right fit for your celebration of LOVE. Nga mihi

Is fully makes sense.
The climate crisis is real!
I also try to live my life sustainably, ethically and fully conscious of everything I use.

This is why I started EcoWed NZ - I wanted to help couples reduce their impact and not fall for the endless desire of “little things” on their wedding day.

I will be speaking at an event in April, offering ideas around reducing waste at YOUR wedding.
I hope you can make it.
More details to come - for 11 April
This is part of Eco Fest

I've been chatting to Tim recently about the climate crisis.

We've seen people debunking it - saying temperature increase predictions haven't come true, scientists overestimated the issue... we aren't in a crisis & everything is fine (🫠).

I've always come up against climate crisis deniers but unfortunately for them (& their desire to have an argument at a BBQ with me) I don't live life sustainably because of a climate crisis.

I live this way because it just makes sense.

The way I'm drawn to sustainable living isn't a knee jerk reaction to a problem. It's an addiction to feeling GOOD, connecting with my food, feeling the wind in my face as I ride my bike, enjoying the satisfaction of repairing something I've loved for years.

So while I wish that climate crisis deniers actually turn out to be correct (wouldn't that be lovely), no matter what state our world is in I believe that living with a sustainable mindset is the BEST way to live. For our mental health, our bodies, our communities, our relationships.

Would love your thoughts 🧡

One of my favourite Florists in Auckland is Jo, so I wanted to share her details - The Florist NZ.
It's always a joy to work with Jo and she is amazing with couples, so I know I can rely on her.
Below are the amazing florals for Eleanor and Richard at Markovina Vineyard Estate
