the vibe is magical... until the New Zealand clouds decide to open up.
I was mid-shoot when the downpour started. Honestly? I wasn’t worried about getting soaked, I was worried about the camera, lens, my drone, and my laptop sitting in my bag.
This isn’t a gear review; it’s a survival report. I stood out there in the mud and rain for hours, and when I finally opened the PGYTECH OnePro 40L—bone dry. Not a single drop touched the internals.
If you’re a destination wedding photographer, “water-resistant” isn’t enough. You need a fortress on your back.

A day that felt straight out of a fairytale. Family and friends travelled from Korea, the US, Mexico, Australia, Japan,the UK and beyond to celebrate Joanne and Ji-won. Wendy and Alvan brought elegance and heart to Puketutu Island Estate. The estate gave a whole new feel to an Auckland wedding. Soft light, open landscapes, and a love that made every frame effortless.
