Here are glimpses of our BTS design and conceptual processes DU Soirée for this South Indian Wedding Ceremony for R+S’s summer wedding

The brief given was a fusion of the couple's Indian, Singaporean and Japanese cultures wrapped up under a Limoncello Amalfi Coast inspired modern soirée against the scenic landscape of their venue Kauri Bay Auckland

Here you will see the initially visioned mandap sketched to the brief, to pictures of the finalized mandap, which enhanced the couple's three wedding looks through the day and celebratory details for their Hindu wedding ceremony!

The end result was a beautiful modern blend of east meets west and we are ever so grateful to have worked in such beautiful surroundings, with talented vendors and with the two most loveliest people R + S to bring their South Indian wedding ceremony to life.

They say pets are family and when you can't be there to celebrate, why not just be part of it in art! R+S found it is important to have their cat be part of their day. So from invites by us DU Soirée to reception stationery by Paper Darling we made sure the couple's cat was highlighted!

We found it a purrfect way to add sentiment to R +S's summer wedding at 💕🐈

When we were given the opportunity to plan, style and coordinate R+S's summer wedding.
It was very important for us in finding that sweet spot of balance plus to stay in line with the bride's love for all things contemporary and modern.

The planning began with their digital and print invites.
The couple's brief was to highlight a blend of both their rich Asian cultures ( of India, Japan and Singapore), canopied under a contemporary Amalfi Coast styled wedding soirée, to be reflected in a contemporary scenic wedding venue of Kauri Bay Boomrock.

We realized early on the importance of getting the right balance of culture, sentiment and pastel hues.From research, to us listening to exotic musical pieces celebrating freedom of artistic expression to setting up 3D print origami print setups.
All this helped us DU Soirée, from our designers and our illustrators on how to bring these rich but stylistically contrasting cultures to sing in harmony!

In the suite you'll find cultural details of cherry blossoms for hope, auspiciousness with marigolds, origami storks for luck, feels of Limoncello and the couple's love of family ( with the couple's cat - check our final brush tail strokes here 🐱), which was all then wrapped up neatly with a bow!
The beautiful blend of blush hues, lemon , light chartreuse, light tangerine accented by azure blue - was a fun riot of mid pastel hues.

With great collaborative partners that created amazing invites and hand painted custom illustrations DU Soirée and , together we found the right sentiment. Together for the R + S we created a modern sweet take on a hand crafted blend of east meets west!
