DJLow's story -
All his childhood he had grown up w/ the sounds of traditional Tongan kava music courtesy of his Father 'Iasinito Faka'osi .
Building a passion for music he learnt to play a few instruments (guitar , keyboard , cornet , drums etc) . Played a huge part as a student at Apifo'ou College as a Marching Band Leader in the school Brass Band .
Growing up as an only child & Grandson for 8years , His humble home where he was raised located in the heart of Havelu was very welcomed to many to stay for near by schooling & access to the Vaiola hospital by his late Grandparents Tatafu & 'Ofa Latu . DJLow was surrounded by many family members including his Father's younger brother Toni Faka'osi who had a passion for car audio - this is where he began his interest in car audio (also was inspired by Samu Pepa's sounds at the time)
Year 2008 married w/ 1 daughter DJLow decided to collect subs and gained interest in DJ speakers and shortly started practising from home .
This time 10 years AGO he was given helpful tips by experienced DJs and gained the name DJLow from his first name Petelo aka Lo lol
Over the years he's been gigging along side NZ Tongan Artists (Lomez Brown, Konecs , Ladyfats , Ratland Ent), Auckland DJ's , Nightclubs from the City to South Auckland - been privileged to play at Tongan night clubs , played at many private functions and today DJLow is an active live DJ at Club Nuku'alofa (Dominion Rd) Fri & Sat .
Thanking all whom made it possible !
Happy 10years DJLow 😂 .
