Some of the most beautiful wedding photos are captured during “Golden Hour” – the hour leading up to sunset when the light is soft, warm, and incredibly flattering.

If these dreamy sunset photos are on your wish list, make sure you chat with your photographer and build enough time into your wedding timeline.

At Bridgewater, we have plenty of stunning locations on-site for beautiful portraits throughout the day, including our native forest, gardens, pond and open lawns. However, because of the way our property is positioned, we don’t have views of the setting sun. If you’re hoping to capture that iconic sunset on the horizon, you’ll need to allow extra time to leave the venue with your photographer and travel to a nearby location before returning to your reception.

If you’re happy with beautiful natural light rather than the sun itself, you’ll still be able to capture gorgeous Golden Hour images right here at Bridgewater without missing too much time with your guests.

A little planning with your photographer and coordinator will ensure you get the photos you’ve always dreamed of while making the most of your celebration.
