The 123rd Helensville Show will be held on Saturday 27th February, 2027
Gates open 9am
One great day.

Helensville's biggest one-day event, and the largest one-day agricultural and pastoral show in the Northern District of New Zealand. Held on the last Saturday each February, since 1900, by the Helensville A&P Association.

Show season is almost upon us, with the first of the Northern A&P Shows only a month away. Here are the Northern Show dates for the 2026/2027 season:-

• Clevedon – 21–23 November 2026
• Whangarei – 5 December 2026
• Kaikohe – 16 January 2027
• Paparoa (North Kaipara) – 6 February 2027
• Arapohue (Northern Wairoa) – 13 February 2027
• Broadwood (North Hokianga) – 20 February 2027
• Pukekohe (Franklin) – 20–21 February 2027
• Kaitaia – 27 February 2027
• Helensville – 27 February 2027
• Kumeu – 13-14 March 2027

RURAL SCHOLARSHIP 2026
Helensville Show is calling for applications for their 2026 Rural Scholarship.

This is a scholarship of $500 for a candidate who is pursuing a career in New Zealand’s primary industry sectors. It must include related studies such as agriculture, horticulture, veterinary, bee keeping, aqua farming, viticulture etc. The course of study must be full-time for at least one year, physically attending the institution.

Preference will be given to applicants who have contributed to the Helensville A&P Show.

RIDERS - unfortunately the racetrack is too wet in some places to ride on, after all. We will reopen the sand track Friday after lunch, so please no riding until Friday afternoon.

HORSE MEASURING this Sunday 13th Sept, from 9am - 11am.

For measuring, enter the Showgrounds at GATE 2, park in the carpark on the left and bring your horse down to the white horse measuring shed. Bring your existing certificate with you, if it is a remeasure.

Remember to present your horse in a bridle for H&S please.
Freshly trimmed hooves are wise, if you know your horse is close to full height for their section.

If you have recently bought a horse/pony, please complete a change of ownership through the RAS at https://www.ras.org.nz/eque.../measuring-height-certificates and download the Replacement RAS Certificate form and return to the RAS. If you are not sure it has an existing certificate, you can do a search at https://www.ras.org.nz/equestrian/horse-search.
On the day, allow yourself plenty of time - a calm and relaxed pony/horse and owner is going to give you the best measure on the day.
