You may have noticed I have been absent around here..

"So I'm back to the velvet underground, back to the floor that I love. To a room with some lace and paper flowers.. Back to the gypsy that I was.."

Truth be told things have been really hard. In January my business was thriving. I was finding my feet after so much uncertainty & found the love return for the job that I loved so much. I had work/life balance & was loving every second.

All came crashing down with the red light. Invoices went unpaid, emails went unanswered & the cancellations came in.. I was devastated. We had only just been "allowed" beyond the border to our premises in mid January. Uncertainty destroys an industry like this. I was working on rescheduled bookings & playing catch up. Red light came at the peak of the season with no end in sight.. I knew that was the rebuilding of my season over.

The emotional and mental toll this takes on business owners is really hard. We have been through this emotional rollercoaster before but it doesn’t exactly get easier.. How do I put food on the table? How do I show up every day despite wanting to stay in bed & pull the blanket over my face? Those who know me personally know there is far more to my struggles amidst the restrictions and traffic lights. I found myself in a constant state of fight or flight.. Then came the spicycough in late February. Any potential business that was hanging by a thread was lost due to this.

I decided to shift my focus from my business & the things that I could not change to focus on my family. We started homeschooling & getting back to basics. I have changed the way we eat & the way I view things. My quality of life is much better now, despite all the challenges we face.

I'm ready to return to the job I love.. Although I'm returning a bit battered & broken, I am far stronger.. And although the bank account is literally empty the only way has to be up from here.

So.. Hello, I'm back! I would love to make your signage + I would love to book you in for hire or a picnic. Thank you for sticking around.

After planning my Wedding & tying the knot in February 2017 my new Hubby and I embarked on a Family Business adventure bringing his Fabrication skills to the next level. I was so inspired by the Wedding planning process but also struggled to find pieces I truly loved that embodied the theme of our big day.. With our powers combined my Hubby opened up his design skills and Machinery and has taken me under his wing to teach and mentor me bring my dream venture to life.. Here The fox in flora was born.

We specialise in high quality, affordable, bespoke Wedding + Event Signage, Business Signage, Cake toppers & Boutique Hire.

Our signs are designed and cut in house and are light-weight, weatherproof and beautiful quality. We offer a range of designs and styles including standing signs.. Pick an existing design or request for Jay to design a bespoke piece to your requirements.

Our standard finish is a brushed metal which is a beautiful luminous silver colour that is not shiny, but looks incredible in photos and especially when it catches light! We have a range of beautiful high quality paints that enable us to change up the colorway to suit your theme and home perfectly. We are able to source almost any colour you can think of!
