For the first time in Tāmaki Makaurau, we’re thrilled to bring you Mabel - an electrifying DJ, producer, and label head from Naarm (Melbourne) on Saturday March 15 at Phoenix Cabaret.
Mabel is highly respected in her local scene and has built a reputation for sets that push dance floors to euphoric limits. Not just a local legend, she’s made waves internationally—2024 saw her complete a huge European tour where her unrelenting early-2000s prog house and minimal techno, sprinkled with sassy grooves and bratty bass, proved to be a hit with seasoned crowds. Fresh off a set at one of Australia’s biggest festivals, Pitch Music & Arts, she’s bringing her beloved bush doof energy to our shores for one unmissable night.
Beyond rocking a party, Mabel is immensely talented in music production. Her records are pure class—forward-thinking and built for a hypnotic, playful night in the club. Her EP ‘Pleasure Phonetix’ on Roza Terenzi’s Step Ball Chain label cemented her as one to watch, earning support from D. Tiffany, Spray, Regularfantasy, Interplanetary Criminal, and other selectors in the know.
