This International Day of Older People, we’re coming together to celebrate our seniors, kaumātua and elders across the west 🌿✨

Join us for a beautiful morning filled with local talent, including a special performance from the Taiwan Hakka Society of New Zealand. 🎶

Let’s honour the wisdom, laughter, and aroha of our elders, the heart of our communities. ❤️

🎶✨ LOUD in the LIBRARY ✨🎶

On the 1st of August Te Atatū Peninsula Library was absolutely shaking thanks to Soundcanvas! Over two nights, more than 65 local rangatahi musicians took the stage—sharing original songs, building confidence, and turning the library into the loudest, most joyful spot in town. 💥📚🎸

From intermediate bands to college crews, the energy was unreal and the talent was off the charts. 🙌 A massive mihi to the Soundcanvas whānau for helping our young people shine, and to everyone who came along to support them.

We LOVED seeing the library completely taken over by music, creativity and community. 🖤

📸 Here’s a peek at the action—can you spot your fave act? 👀👇
