Well I made it to Ko Samui, but my FREAKING bag didn’t!!! Thanks a bunch HEATHROW airport! Couldn’t organise a p**s up in a brewery! Thank god for travel Insurance! Now I’ve got up to 1k to buy some new threads! Need a bikini & a couple of frocks until my bag shows up. Not stressed at all. I have an hour of free flow cocktails everyday and my meals all sorted here at the amazing resort I’m at. They even gave me an upgrade on my room when they heard about my lost bag. GOD I LOVE THAILAND 🇹🇭 🌴

I’ve learnt this year that your heart can shatter into a thousand pieces a thousand times over. Grief, it’s a strange beast and nothing can prepare you for the death of your mother. I’m honouring her life today and the loss in my heart will forever be felt. I’m taking the rest of her to Ko Samui tomorrow to sprinkle her in the ocean there also as she absolutely adored Thailand.

BIKANER was one of the last cities we visited before we schlepped back to Delhi. India has Gazillions of cows and bulls, just everywhere! Middle of motorways, rambling down roads and they are BIG! Like bigger than a car big. Our leader then took us to a local@place that is famous for its fenugreek curry for dinner. Oh and I caught the bull sneezing

And that’s a wrap to my epic Sri Lanka & Rajasthan trip. I’m off to the UK to sort some family business then will be taking a weeks break on Ko Samui to relax before heading back to the island and work. See you all soon 🇬🇧

Jaisalmer- the city deep in the heart of the Thar Dessert in in Western Rajasthan. Hot, arid & steeped in history. It borders with Pakistan so there is a huge military base here, with fighter jets a common background sound in the skies above us. Next stop, an overnight stay in a desert camp

We are at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. The last city before the border of Pakistan. There’s a huge military presence here, due to the religious & political unrest,
We were greeted at our hotel with a stunning garland of marigolds and rose petals poured down from the balcony’s above to greet us with their heady scent. What a welcome ❤️

As we edge closer to the desert in Rajasthan, it’s getting hotter & arid. A fantastic day in The Blue City today, visiting the magnificent fort, then a sweaty stroll through the old town before being hosted for lunch by a local family, which was delightful. Kicking back now by the pool & cooling down, before dinner with the crew- we are off again tomorrow to visit Jaislamer, the following day we will be overnighting in The Thar Desert- sleeping under the stars 🤩

Jaipur! Chaotic & charismatic, very much enjoyed our Bollywood experience, with the premiere of TOXIC a fast paced murderous rampage, which was cheered on vocally & enthusiastically by the mostly male crowd.
