Get ready for a brilliant night of music, dancing, laughter and community spirit at the MVLS Céilí / Cèilidh Dance Fundraiser!

Join us on Saturday 17 October at Kumeu Community Centre, 35 Access Road, from 6.30pm–11pm for a fantastic evening with the Auckland Céilí / Cèilidh Band. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never tried a céilí before, you’ll be very welcome — it’s all about having fun.

Come along for good music, great dancing and plenty of craic, while supporting the Muriwai boat crew going to the NEW ZEALAND SURF LIFESAVING CHAMPIONSHIPS in Christchurch, March 2027.

Tickets are just $20 and available through Eventbrite.

Bring your friends, bring your family, and make a night of it. This is one fundraiser where you can support a great cause and have a genuinely fun night out at the same time.

MIHO WADA JAZZ ORCHESTRA (MJO) brings an irresistible mix of Afro-Cuban rhythms, J-pop energy, Pacific influences and seriously joyful jazz.

Led by the vibrant and wonderfully unpredictable Miho Wada, this five-piece Auckland ensemble blends flute, saxophone, violin, guitar, bass and drums into a sound that is playful, uplifting and completely their own.

Miho is a Japanese-born multi-instrumentalist and composer who has studied and performed around the world — from London and Cuba to Japan, Europe, Australia and the USA. Since forming MJO in 2011, the band has toured extensively throughout New Zealand, Australia and Japan, with several albums reaching the NZ Top 10 and Top 20 charts.

But this isn’t jazz that takes itself too seriously.

Expect infectious rhythms, beautiful musicianship, entertaining stories and plenty of mischief as Miho and the band take you on a musical journey that has charmed — and occasionally shocked — audiences around the world.
