WELL, THAT WAS ONE FOR THE BOOKS! ❤️

Our biggest and best event EVER! What a day at the Gluten Free Food Festival. We sold out of so much, met so many amazing people and had the absolute best time!

When I started Sweet as Choice Bakery, I never imagined I’d get to do some of the cool things I’ve been lucky enough to do, including holding a demo at an event like this. It’s pretty special to see these little dreams becoming reality!

A big shoutout to my little team who made it all happen. Mum usually comes along and helps me at these events, but she’s currently recovering from hip surgery, so Dad stepped in, alongside Sheena, and they were absolutely amazing. Couldn’t have done it without you both!

And of course, the team back at the bakery who held down the fort while we were away. I know it was a busy one!

To everyone who came along, visited our stand, bought goodies, had a chat or continues to support our little bakery, you are the reason we get to keep doing what we love. Your support keeps us growing, creating and chasing these crazy little dreams.

Feeling very lucky, very grateful and very proud of what we’ve built together. ❤️

We have another bittersweet goodbye to make, and that is to Paige, from

We have watched with delight as Paige has gone from strength to strength were her business, which specialises in all of the classic Kiwi baked-goods.

Paige first joined Titirangi Village Market in mid-2024 when she started her business. Since then, she has opened up a permanent bakery in New Lynn, which now features a separate, dedicated gluten-free kitchen, which allows her to offer fully gluten-free (coeliac-safe) versions of her classic kiwi baking.

Recently, Sweet as Choice Bakery won two 2026 NZ Artisan Awards:
- GOLD for her Marshmallow Slice
- SILVER for her Vanilla Custard Square

We feel honoured that Titirangi Village Market was one of her first regular markets, and the last that she has (in her words) "let go of", as she shifts her focus to the continued growth of her wonderful business.

I know that many of you have loved having Paige at our market, and we will definitely miss her. The great news is that she isn't far away! Sweet as Choice in New Lynn has a drop-in shop, and also Auckland-wide (and sometimes nation-wide) delivery for some items.

We’re so excited to be heading back to the The Gluten Free Food Festival this Saturday! 🙌💚

If you came along last year, you’ll remember just how quickly our custard squares disappeared… WE SOLD OUT IN JUST 30 MINUTES! 😱 So this year, we’re bringing plenty more custards to make sure as many of you as possible get your fix! 🤤💚

🏆 A GOLD AND A SILVER! 🥇🥈

We are absolutely over the moon to share that we won GOLD for our Marshmallow Slice and SILVER for our Vanilla Custard Square at the New Zealand Artisan Awards ! ❤️

A huge thank you to my friend Allie, who pushed me to enter in the first place. I honestly wouldn’t have entered without her encouragement, and we wouldn’t have these awards to celebrate! 🥹

Running a small bakery is full on, and it’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind, constantly baking, fulfilling orders and keeping everything running, that you forget to stop and appreciate what you’re actually achieving.

Sometimes we need people around us who believe in us when we doubt ourselves, who give us that little push to put ourselves out there and remind us that what we’re doing is worth celebrating. ❤️ Sometimes we’re doing better than we give ourselves credit for! 🥰

🎄 WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! 🎄

With Christmas getting closer, we’re thinking about opening the Sweet as Choice Bakery shop on MONDAYS, on top of already opening Tuesday and Wednesday 10am till 2pm, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am till 4pm, for the lead up to Christmas, most likely starting November! 👀

The idea would be:
🕙 Mondays | 10am – 2pm
🛍️ Shop open for walk-ins
🎂 Pick-up orders available too

We know Christmas time gets BUSY, and we’re wondering if having an extra day to grab your favourite Kiwi classics, Christmas treats, catering or pick-up orders would be helpful! ❤️

So tell us… would you use a Monday opening? 👇
