After almost 13 years as a celebrant, it’s time to fully stand by, honour and speak aloud, my beliefs and values!
This includes my mahi/work. 🍉🫶🏼
……. Going forward - from (today) 2 June 2026, I will be reducing the number of “LARGE” weddings I take on each year AND working less weekends! (More time to volunteer, garden and be with my whānau).
I will collaborate and work with couples who share similar values, ethicis and morals for humanity and for the planet/ Papatuanuku. (EG: This means no balloons, no suppliers linked to genocide and so on!)
This is incredibly important to me. If we don’t align - it is ok…. Because it’s best for us all that you find the right person! 🫶🏼

I will continue with elopements/micro weddings and because I’m incredible passionate about it and I stand by my ethos!
The same applies to these couples as above! It is an honour to work with those who stand against oppression and racism, those who want apartheid and genocide to stop! People who support Te tiriti o Waitangi, as I do is vital too!
I can say 'honestly and with my whole heart' - Toitū te tiriti (hands OFF the Treaty).
I acknowledge as tau iwi Pakeha (non Māori), it is more important than ever to stand up and be counted while indigenous rights are under attack here in Aotearoa and around the world!
