Matariki time is nearly upon us!
As a part of the Matariki Festival activities at St Heliers Community Centre on Friday the 13th of June, I’ll be back offering Matariki UV reactive face paints which will ‘GLOW’! Thanks to sponsors Creative New Zealand and The ReCreators.

I had included a special menu with ocean designs for this Live Ocean event. My kids thought my shark was a bit angry, so I had a friendly shark design up my sleeve. My first shark request was 'can I have an angry shark!' - yes! :) Unfortunately didn't get a pic to post... or any of my ocean designs randomly! The child was chuffed as he proclaimed 'the shark is eating my eye!' Made my day.
p.s. Ask for my scary shark design next time.

I’m delighted to be offering FREE face painting for two wonderful causes THIS Saturday.

Give a Kid a Blanket Fill The Truck Challenge in Turua Street St Heliers Village. I’ll be there from 10-12pm thanks to St Heliers Bay - Your Village by the Sea. Turua Gallery organises this annual collection for Give a Kid a Blanket. Check out the event link above of items to donate. There will be live music and a sausage sizzle also.

Foil4TheGulf is happening at Royal Akarana Yacht Club also this Saturday. I’ll be there from 1.30-4pm thanks to Live Ocean. The mission is to make this event New Zealand’s largest foiling event and turn the spotlight on the urgent need to protect and restore the Hauraki Gulf. More dets in the event link.

My team and I are looking forward to offering FREE Face Painting amongst other cool family friendly activities on behalf of Ōrākei Local Board for THIS friday 330-530pm! Let's hope for some good weather to come our way.

❌ Update: event cancelled. Unfortunately due to bad weather, the board has made the difficult decision to cancel this event. ‼️
🏰 Don't forget - this Friday is the official celebration for the new playground at Michaels Ave Reserve, and everyone is invited! Bring your tamariki, neighbours, and mokopuna for a free afternoon of treats and fun, including a bouncy castle and circus tricks!

Some pics from today's paints. St Heliers Bay - Your Village by the Sea Easter painting session part 2 and Glendowie Presbyterian Church Easter Egg hunt - it was too windy for a marquee, but shout out to Glendowie park bus stop 7377 which provided some much needed shelter for my painty set up! :)

Some gorgeous paints for St Heliers Bay - Your Village by the Sea outside of Scooptopia today. Thank you Four Square St Heliers for the free big scoop of ice cream with a dance! Doing it all again next Saturday the 19th 10 -12pm. If you miss me in St Heliers as it was super busy today, come down to the Glendowie Community Easter Egg Hunt at Glendowie reserve from 2-4pm for some Easter face paints and hunt.
