These beauties flower like clock work, and in North Canterbury, are here at the start of October. They are quick to multiple and a make a stunning mass display.

The first of our rhizomes will be available this Saturday at the Amberley Farmers Market.

The forgotten dahlia. This morning, I found this little gem tucked away in a corner. It was planted in a pot last year and forgotten about, sheltered next to the house. It hasn't been watered, fed, or sprayed (and it shows), but it still has bloomed. Do I feel guilty for neglect? Yes, but this might just be the type of dahlia not only suited to many but maybe needed. No garden shaming here! I am sure many, like me, appreciate the hardy plants that have no special treatment and still thrive.
Oh, and those cute little crinkles on the petals 😍 Jx
