Velkommen til Halvdags Introkurs i Roing

Program
• 09:00–09:20 | Omvisning i båthallen (20 min)
Bli kjent med hvordan Oslo Roklubb er organisert, hvor utstyret oppbevares og grunnleggende sikkerhetsrutiner.
• 09:20–10:00 | Introduksjon til romaskin (ergometer) (40 min)
Grunnleggende innføring i ro-teknikk på land ved bruk av romaskiner. Dette gir et godt grunnlag før vi går på vannet.
• 10:00–11:30 | Roing på vannet (1,5 time)
Praktisk roing i ulike båttyper med veiledning og bytte av båt. Du får prøve både å ro med én åre (sweep) og, hvis det er ledig, to årer (sculling).
• 11:30–12:00 | Valgfri sculling-økt (30 min)
For de som har rodd med én åre og ønsker å teste sculling. NB: Begrenset antall nybegynnervennlige sculling-båter tilgjengelig.

• Tettsittende treningstøy (unngå løse klær)
• Vannflaske, håndkle og skift
• Eventuelt: solkrem, caps
• Du må kunne svømme 50–100 meter i sjøvann (påkrevd for å delta)

Beginner’s Rowing Course
Saturday 26 April 2025 | 09:00–15:00
Oslo Roklubb invites you for a fun and inclusive day on the water — perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to refresh their skills!

Try out indoor rowing, sculling & sweep, meet others, and head out onto the fjord with experienced instructors.

Bring:
• Tight-fitting warm clothes
• Water bottle & lunch
• Change of clothes
• Ability to swim 50–100m

🌟 Shoutout to Jamie and Jens Petter! 🌟

Huge thanks to Jamie and Jens Petter for stepping up and putting in the work to protect the ORK kitchen wall before the snowfall! Their dedication over the past several weeks has been incredible, and the results speak for themselves. 💪👏

Here’s what they accomplished:
🛠️ Removed rotten wood, repaired base planks and posts, and added new insulation.
🛠️ Installed building paper underlay, metal flashings, and new cladding.
🛠️ Completed the final protective plastic layer and excavated the ground for air circulation.

Not only is the damp section now fully repaired and watertight for the winter, but they’ve also saved the club an estimated 50,000-100,000 NOK—funds that can now be used for new boats instead of expensive repairs. 🚣‍♀️

This kind of effort keeps Oslo Roklubb thriving, proving what’s possible when we come together. Join ORK, and you might pick up some real-life skills while being inspired by amazing folks like and ! 🙌
