Vivacity is a Norwegian DJane, born and raised in Oslo, who has been part of the club scene for many years - starting out as a dancer at events in early 2000. The word ‘vivacity’ comes from ‘vivacious’, meaning energetic and full of life, which describes both her personality and taste in music. Vivacity does live streams on Twitch each week, playing various sub-genres of Techno, Trance and House -

with more than 100 sets completed. Her spending an endless amount of time hunting for new music has resulted in a vast number of mixes, which she posts on SoundCloud. She’s been invited to do several guest mixes for concepts and labels, such as Afterhours.FM, and has the past year had the pleasure of sharing her intriguing track selections with people in clubs. Lately she’s been diving into learning about music production, with the goal of releasing her own tracks. Vivacity’s origin is Uplifting and Classic Trance, which she still loves, but her style these days has evolved into something much darker and raw; A combination of driving, melodic and vibrant music with the base in Techno, influenced by Trance and Mainstage – often starting at low tempo, ending full-on. She experiments with transitions to create new sounds and has lots of fun making her own mashups. There’s never a dull moment with Vivacity!

Chat GPT thinks I’ve chosen a good artist name and now I’m totally full of myself 🤩😂 The story behind: An English friend of mine suggested it when I started putting mixes on SoundCloud 4 years ago - it comes from the word ‘vivacious’, which she thought described both my personality, track selection and general taste in music 😄

Vivacity (like Felicity) sounds pretty trancy and fit my style starting out as a dj, but most people say Viva-city, so I’ve started to say that instead. How do you pronounce my name? 🤔

I’ve played two times at Monday Bar, and the first time I was so nervous I could hardly speak and my hands were shaking 😂 I had had some gigs at local clubs before this, but getting to play at one of the legendary cruises with a jam-packed lineup of major international artists made the butterflies in my stomach go crazy 🤪😱 (Later I found out that The Yellowheads had been there for a big part of the set, and boy am I glad I didn’t know that at the time 😆)

I learned something valuable that night, which has helped me keep my nerves under control before all other gigs - after the first transition the butterflies start to dance 🦋 So now I turn the nervousness into excitement before every gig!

Massive thanks to my supportive friends dancing in the front ❤️

First gig vs biggest gig 💛 Sometimes, drowned in work and countless rejections, it’s hard to stay motivated and I forget how far I’ve come since I bought my first controller 4 years ago 😅 The girl on the left would never have dreamed she’d one day share stage with one if her heros - playing her own tracks and mashups!

Wanted to take a moment to celebrate and thank all of you who’s followed me on this journey and cheered me on + a massive thanks the promoters who’s given me the chance to prove myself behind the decks 🥰 I’m forever grateful!

Nope, I’m not choosing - I want both 😏💕 Yes, I’m talking about genres of course 🎶☺️ As a pretty new DJ and producer, trying to build a name for myself, I sometimes feel I should choose either Trance vs Techno or hard stuff vs euphoric stuff, so that people know what they get with me. Lots of artist have a characteristic sound that is recognizable, and that works well for them. Not for me, I want versatility 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I can promise my goal will always be to make you dance and get lost in the music!

I love tunes for their drive, their energy, the feelings they convey - no matter the genre 😄 Massive thanks to artists like David Forbes and Mark Sherry for leading the way, showing that you don’t need to choose 🖤

PS. I like Afro House too. And Shakira and The Cranberries for that matter 😁

💜 Gig Announcement 💜 Swipe left! Excited to be on warmup duty for German DJ/producer when he comes to my hometown and fav club next month 😄 Joining us is opening the night at 22.00!

Patrick keeps pumping out banger after banger each week, either by own production or on his label 🔥 His tracks has generated more than 38 mill streams, released on labels like Marie Vaunt’s Kurai Records and Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings. Patrick has played at major clubs and festivals across Europe, like KitKatClub and Airbeat One - and now Norway!
