Hi, I’m Christine – the heart behind Klem by Christine!
To those who are new here – welcome, and thank you for being here!
Klem began in 2020 as a passion project during the pandemic, when I was laid off from work. I found joy and purpose in baking, selling my signature cookies and brownies in Oslo, and later setting up a pop-up bakery and taking orders during my visits to Lillesand.
One of the most meaningful moments in my journey was launching a fundraiser — selling brownies and donating 100% of the profit to typhoon victims in the Philippines. That experience reminded me how creativity can bring comfort and connection, even from across the world.
But what truly pushed me to become my own boss was motherhood. After becoming a mom, I realized how incredibly difficult it is to return to the culinary industry. I faced rejection after rejection — not because I lacked talent or experience, but because being a mom was seen as a liability, and I was even told I was “too creative” for some companies.
That’s when I decided to take control of my story — and give Klem by Christine a new life.
Klem 2.0 is a little bit of everything I love:
Baking cakes and pastries, planning unforgettable events, designing custom graphics, styling food, hosting parties, and creating magical setups.
Because being a mom doesn’t mean we have to shrink ourselves — it means we get to redefine success.
It’s never too late to be everything you’ve dreamed of becoming.
