Daft Funk 'Live' - A retrospective celebration of Daft Punk is heading to The Netherlands!

They will perform in Poppodium 013 Tilburg (29th Sept), Melkweg Amsterdam Amsterdam (30th Sept) and TivoliVredenburg Utrecht (2nd Oct).

‘Daft Funk Live’ are one of the world's most prestigious Daft Punk tribute bands - diligently constructing a LIVE accolade of Daft Punk’s legendary performances and appearances. They incorporate their own synchronised light shows together with live instruments to give a truly immersive and unique experience. Their stage production is meticulously crafted, paying the utmost respect to the infamous and illusive Robots.

In light of the recent split of the official robots, these equally mysterious robots continue to pay homage to the infamous house masters by performing Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. Expect live renditions of selected songs from Homework to RAM....and beyond with the addition of unique mixes in the revered Daft Punk style.

On June 6, 1964, The Beatles gave two concerts in Blokker (Hoorn, The Netherlands). It was a day to remember for everyone who was there. A historic moment, as it would become the only time The Beatles performed live in the Netherlands. The auction hall shook to its foundations and Blokker was world news for one day.

To keep the memories of this event alive 60 years onwards, the Historical Association Blokker is organising a major Beatles event. On Saturday, June 8, 2024, it will be B-DAY again in Blokker. A day packed with Beatles activities and music!

Especially for this occasion, The The Cavern Beatles from Liverpool are coming to Blokker for two live performances. This band provides an astonishingly realistic two-hour Beatles experience. It is not without reason that The Cavern Beatles are considered the best Beatles tribute band in Europe. The performances take place in the De Brug sports hall (Boekert 5, Oosterblok), a stone’s throw from the auction hall where it all happened in 1964. Yesterday we honoured our late tourmanager, producer, booking agent and concert programmer Peter Huijts during Scott Hamilton’s concert in his hometown Enschede (NL). Peter was a great loyal friend, a trustworthy support for countless touring jazz giants and producer for many Timeless recordings.

In the words of his daughter Ellemieke Huijts: “Last night there was a concert in tribute to our father. Incredibly nice that our father is not forgotten and remembered in this way. A beautiful LP (Live At De Tor by Scott Hamilton) has been released in memory of Peter Huijts. Thank you dear Ria and Wim Wigt from Timeless Records for doing this! Dear Dad (and Mom) we miss you..”

Scott Hamilton is still appearing in Utrecht TivoliVredenburg , Amsterdam Bimhuis and Zierikzee Theaters aan Zee this week.
