Left... or right?

Most of the time, Iain knows exactly where the route leads. Every junction has been carefully planned, every kilometre checked.
But every now and then... even he needs a second look.

Then again, with scenery like this, who could blame him? Sometimes the view is simply too good not to stop and take it all in.

This time, we chose right... and we're happy we did. ❄
Every day brings us one step closer to an unforgettable 25th edition of the Winter Trial.

Still on the road... and, as it turns out, a little longer than planned.
Route reconnaissance doesn't always go exactly to schedule. Sometimes winter has plans of its own.

This time, Timo got an unexpected workout, clearing the road so we could continue our journey. A little extra effort is all part of the adventure.
And honestly... we're not complaining. Especially when you realise that some travellers are facing a little more delay than we are. Just take a look at the second photo. 😉

Every kilometre reminds us why the Winter Trial is unlike any other rally. The unexpected is simply part of the experience.

Day 2 begins where Day 1 left off: with quiet anticipation and engines waking up in the cold morning air.

The roads today feel different already. Wider horizons, new rhythm, and that unmistakable sense of crossing into something slightly more raw, more open. As we leave the Czech Republic behind, Austria slowly starts to unfold ahead of us.

Along the way: flowing winter roads, forests dusted in white, and moments where everything goes silent except the sound of the engine.

And when the day settles… we do too. Lunch comes with views you don’t easily forget. The kind of places where conversation lingers longer than the meal, and nobody is in a hurry to leave the table.

The first day is almost in the books...

The route is looking every bit as special as we'd hoped. Historic towns, beautiful architecture, winding roads and the kind of places that make you slow down, even if only for a short moment because you are in the middle of rally.

This is exactly why we drive every metre before the rally begins. To make sure the 25th Winter Trial delivers six unforgettable days from the very first turn.

And we're not done yet...
Tonight, we'll reveal where 'Day 1' finishes. Let's just say it's a location worthy of a 25th anniversary.

Ready for the 25th Winter Trial?

At the moment Timo and Iain are checking every kilometre, every junction and every hidden gem to make sure everything is ready for this very special anniversary edition.

Our journey starts in one of Europe's most beautiful cities: Prague. A spectacular backdrop for the opening of six unforgettable winter days, before the crews head into the snow-covered roads of Central Europe.
Over the next few days, we'll take you behind the scenes as we prepare the route.

This is where every Winter Trial begins: long before the first competitors arrive.

Last year, during the Winter Trial , rally-legend Peter Rushforth and Vincent Hayes made an epic roll in their Renault 4. One day before, Vincent told us the Renault always keeps it wheels on the ground, no matter how diagonal it goes through the corners. Well, Vinnie, maybe even a Renault 4 has its limits…

Luckily all drivers were okay, and Peter told us it was one of his nicer rolls he did in his career. Hopefully his last one, too. Peter and Vinnie joined the night loop a couple of hours later. Heroes.

New. And... already full: The Last Hurrah.
10 final additional entries now available.

You may have seen it in our newsletters or on the website: The Last Hurrah. A tribute to Philip Young, and in many ways a summer counterpart to the Winter Trial.
Well… it seems you’ve been waiting for it. Because The Last Hurrah is already fully booked, that's right, for a rally in september 2027!

Or rather: it was full. Originally, we planned to welcome just 30 crews for this brand-new rally (29 September – 2 October 2027). Those spots were gone within three weeks. So we opened up 10 extra entries. Good idea… but those filled up just as quickly, in little over a week.

After working closely with our locations around Lake Annecy, we managed to create space for 10 additional entries. 50 in total.
And that’s it.
When these are gone… we are really full.

So if you want to be part of the very first edition of The Last Hurrah, this is your moment.

The chances are big you have, like many others, seen our daily movies during the Winter Trial. We are proud to share with you our after movie! Enjoy 15 minutes of pure driving pleasure, camaraderie and fantastic cars and unbelievable people.
