From 2006 to 2020, Mark Appleton was the mastermind behind the legendary Winter Trial routes. That responsibility now lies in the capable hands of Iain Tullie, three-time winner of the rally.

But in 2026, Mark is making a comeback… not as the route master, but as a competitor! 🚗💨
For the first time since 2002, he’ll be back in the navigator seat on our event – and that sets the stage for a thrilling battle on the maps and in the rankings.

The Winter Trial is a classic car (pre 1976) rally. The Winter Trial 2020 wil start on 26 January in Prague - Czech Republic. A new route has been designed using private roads, tests and a rallycross circuits. More info soon. Follow our journey and be amazed!
