THE VOID — ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW 🌑

This Saturday, we’re taking The Void outside one last time. Join us from 15:00 at the Griftpark in Utrecht, next to the skatepark, for an afternoon of Drum & Bass, BBQ, picnic and community. No tickets, no entry fee, no obligations, just a relaxed gathering for and by the community.

🍔 BBQ

We’ll have a big BBQ ready for everyone to use. Bring whatever you like to throw on the grill. Want to bring your own BBQ? Go for it. The more grills, the merrier. 🔥

We’ll also bring a limited amount of free vegan burgers, sausages, baguettes and other bits for the community to enjoy. First come, first served.

🧺 PICNIC

Bring a blanket, grab your friends and settle in. Bring your own food and drinks, find a spot in the park and make yourself comfortable.

🛹 SKATEPARK

Want to hit the ramps? Bring your board, BMX, skates or whatever you ride and make use of the skatepark right next to us.

🔊 THE VOID

Of course, there will be Drum & Bass. We’ve got artists joining us throughout the afternoon to give this summer one final soundtrack.

🚻 TOILETS

There are public toilets around the corner of where we gather. ✨

This isn’t a traditional event. There are no tickets, no schedule you need to follow and nothing you have to do. Come for an hour, stay for the whole afternoon, dance, skate, eat, meet people or simply hang out.

This is The Void, outside the walls, for the community, by the community.

Bring your people. Bring your food. Bring your BBQ. Bring your energy.

Artist Spotlight: PYTHIUS 🌒

Some artists feel like they belong to a city. Pythius is one of them.

For over a decade, this Dutch powerhouse has been carving his name into the heavier side of drum & bass, fusing crushing basslines, metal influences and powerful sound design into a style that is unmistakably his own. From collaborations and remixes with names like Black Sun Empire, Monuments and Celldweller, to appearances at Let It Roll, Rampage, Lowlands, Jera on Air, Beats for Love and Brutal Assault, Pythius has proven that heavy music knows no borders.

But for us, this one feels a little different.

Pythius is one of our hometown heroes, an artist whose sound has helped shape the heavier side of the Dutch scene, and someone we’re genuinely proud to have standing with us inside The Void.

We’re incredibly happy to have one of the city’s own returning to where it belongs.

THE VOID — SUMMER CLOSING 🌑☀️

Before summer disappears into the darkness, we’re bringing The Void back outside.

On 29 August we’ll be in Griftpark, in the city center of Utrecht, next to the skatepark, for a completely free pop-up rave, Drum and Bass picnic & BBQ from 15:00 till 21:00 (Or later if the party carries on).

We originally had bigger plans for this, but bigger means tickets, fences and more hassle. We wanna keep it it simple and free. This one is for the community.

So bring your mates, a blanket, something for the BBQ and come hang out. We’ll have DJs playing throughout, drinks, food and hopefully a bit of sun.

No tickets, no entrance fee. Just a bunch of people in the park listening to Drum & Bass and eating tasty food.

Artist Spotlight: SANO 🥷

A heavy sound, relentless energy, and a clear drive to keep pushing forward.

Hailing from the Netherlands, SANO has been steadily carving out his place in modern drum & bass. After starting his production journey in 2017 and exploring different styles, he found his home in DnB in 2019, drawn to its endless versatility and unstoppable energy.

Since then, Sano has continued to develop a sound that hits with weight. Releases on CruCast, In The Lab and DNBActive, alongside thousands of plays on his SoundCloud bootlegs, have helped put his name on the radar. Behind the decks, that same intensity comes to life through energetic performances built to keep the dancefloor moving.

With support from names including Camo & Krooked, Pendulum, Freaks & Geeks and the legendary Noisia, Sano is quickly proving that he’s not here for a moment he’s here to stay.

SKEAZY operates somewhere between the raw unpredictability of Jump-Up and the darker, sharper edge of Neurofunk. They’ve taken these two worlds and twisted them into something of their own. Fast, heavy and impossible to ignore.

For the next edition of The Void, SKEAZY takes over the Eclipse Room, bringing a sound built for those who like their basslines dirty and their dancefloors unpredictable.

Think you’ve got what it takes to bring chaos to The Void? We’re looking for one rising DJ to make waves at the SUPERNOVA (main)stage this October in Utrecht, alongside legends like 1991, Basstripper, Subsonic and Pythius.

THE RULES 😁

- Record a DJ mix (20–25 minutes). No studio or ableton mixes.
- Upload your mix to SoundCloud, Mixcloud or YouTube.
– Title: [Artist Name] – The Void October 2026 – DJ Contest.
– Make sure it’s public, has a tracklist, and stays online during the contest.

– Announce your entry with a public post, you can use the artwork in our DJ-Contest highlight.
– Tag .dnb and use the hashtags .

- The Void jury team will make a top 4 selection of the contestants.

Artist Spotlight: SUBSONIC 🧨

From London to dancefloors across the globe, Subsonic has established himself as one of the most exciting names in the new generation of drum & bass.

With a sound that combines technical precision with an effortless dancefloor feel, his productions have been making serious waves. Tracks like “Launchpad,” “Genesis” and “Feel Ur Touch”, alongside collaborations with K Motionz and Delta Heavy, have become staples in sets across the scene. His remixes of Friction’s “I Need to Feel” and Odd Mob’s “Left to Right” have further showcased his ability to put his own stamp on sounds that already define the dancefloor.

His rise has taken him far beyond the UK, with performances and tours spanning Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America. Wherever he lands, his highly technical productions and instinctive understanding of the dancefloor make for a set that keeps the energy locked from start to finish.

At The Void, we’re proud to bring this UK heavyweight to our stage. Expect intricate production, infectious movement and a sound that feels equally at home in a packed club or on a festival mainstage.
