Non ti dimentico bella Calabria!

From all the beautiful places I've been to in the South of Italy, Calabria was still missing.

Starting the trip in Napels with the pizza, what else. To be noted that all over Calabria you'll also find good pizzeria's!

On this trip there was not enough time see and experience all of Calabria, but what we've seen so far was great. Such lovely people, beautiful coast (Costa degli Dei) and scenery (olive trees!) and not to forget, great food (🌶)wine... 😉 and the famous Amaro del Capo!
The most famous wine area in Calabria is Cirò in the provence of Crotone, but there are also many interesting small and family run wineries that produce high quality wines in the other regions to discover! 🍷

'Donna Johanna' Malvasia Bianca, Tre Pini, Puglia 2024

Another great wine of the organic winery in the natural parc Cassano delle Murge, near Bari in Puglia.

Subtle gastronomic wine with hints of green apple, grass, fennel. Floral notes, good acidity and mineral aftertaste.

Perfect for a sunny day. Pair it with white asparagus, oysters, pasta vongole, fresh cheese.... or just like an aperitif.

Today is the perfect day to celebrate the sun with a beautiful glass of Rosé. This salmon colored rosato from Puglia is a musthave in your fridge for days like these!
Fruity and elegant. Hints of pomegranate, peach and slightly strawberry, with a fresh and energizing aftertaste!

Great with caprese, or just pomodoro and olio extra vergine di oliva, from Tre Pini ;-)

Vino spumante, mousserende wijn, er worden allerlei bijzondere soorten gemaakt. Heerlijk op ieder moment natuurlijk, als start van een diner, maar zeker ook om iets te vieren. Zoals de aankomende feestdagen!

De meest bekende en verreweg meest verkochte mousserende wijn van Italië is nog altijd Prosecco, gemaakt volgens de 'Metodo Charmat', maar er is veel meer! Er worden ook prachtige wijnen gemaakt volgens de 'Metodo Classico', dus zoals Champagne wordt gemaakt. De tweede gisting die zorgt voor de mousse, vindt dan plaats op de fles in de kelder. De meest beroemde Italiaanse wijn volgens deze methode is Franciacorta. Omdat we houden van bijzonder, vind je bij ons nét wat minder bekende wijnen terug.
