On May 30, 2026, members of the Riffian diaspora, human rights activists and supporters of freedom will gather in Brussels to show solidarity with the political prisoners of the Rif and all prisoners of conscience who continue to suffer for their opinions and demands for justice.

As part of the 5-year anniversary of SOUK Utrecht, this special Izran Workshop invites you to discover one of the most powerful musical traditions of the Rif — where poetry, emotion and the sound of the adjoun drum come together. 🥁🌿

Together with Mom and Daughters and Izran by R, you’ll dive into the world of authentic Riffian Izran in an interactive workshop celebrating ancestral culture and storytelling through music. 🎶ⵣ

Rεqnsart is an ancient Riffian celebration that marked the end of the agricultural season and welcomed the beginning of summer. Traditionally, families and communities gathered by the sea and around the fire — singing, sharing poetry, telling stories, laughing and celebrating together under the moonlight. 🌙🔥

After years of surviving only in memory, we come together once again to revive this beautiful tradition in our own Riffian way. ❤️💛💚
