I’ve been meaning for ages to post these beautiful photos of a gorgeous couple celebrating their love through marriage. Their personal vows - which they didn’t share with each other until the wedding - were the most moving part of the ceremony. ❤️

I conducted a beautiful personalised ceremony today for a gorgeous couple madly in love. This setting at the Fairfield Boat House is absolutely idillic, with the Yarra as a backdrop and the birds providing music.

I had the privilege of accepting the award for Victorian Public Sector Pride Network of the Year as Deputy Chair of the Department of Families Fairness and Housing Pride Network.

It was Wear it Purple Day, which accounts for the awful tie.

The hardest — and most gratifying — parts aren’t anything you’d expect.

This week I had the joy of marrying my dear friends Cameron and Patrick in the Conservatory at the Fitzroy Gardens. This was a stunning venue for a fabulous wedding. Everyone was spectacular! This was my first ceremony in full latex!

I loved every moment of Sam and Katy's wedding. They both wrote their vows independent of one another so they didn't get to hear each other's promise until they were facing each other on the day. They were both spectacular and very moving!! (Yes there were tears!)

My dear friendsJustin and Rhiannon following their moving and personal wedding ceremony

29/01/2022

After a very long time(we started planning 2 years ago) I had the privilege and pleasure of marrying my dear friends Rhiannon and Justin last Saturday. Surrounded by their children, close friends and family (some beaming in virtually due to Covid restrictions), perched on a grassy hill that felt close to the clouds, Justin and Rhiannon made their deeply personal vows to love each other, and be there for each other for the rest of their days.

This celebration of love is why I love being a celebrant.

I'm doing my ongoing professional development as a celebrant, completing a course in creating awesome social media content with Australian Celebrations Training.

Who knows? I might actually get the hang of this!

Congratulations Victoria! We got there!

2022 is looking bright! For all those couples who have suffered through the past months of wedding postponement and pain, my heart goes out to you. It's been rough.

But with restrictions lifted, you can now plan your wedding to celebrate your love and life together with the joy and optimism weddings deserve!

Just to be clear, almost all restrictions have eased for fully vaccinated Victorians, but some COVID-19 risks still remain.

If vaccination status isn’t being checked, weddings are restricted to one person per 4 sqm up to a maximum of 50 people per facility. The cap at weddings doesn’t include the marrying couple, celebrant or photographer.

If you're looking for a celebrant, please get in touch.

From Friday 25 June 2021 in metropolitan Melbourne weddings with 300 people are permitted outdoors or indoors (subject to density limits).

Contact me if you have been waiting for your wedding, but putting it off due to restrictions. Now could be the time.

Remember that the minimum legal lead-time you need is one month before your wedding date.
