NL] Alle Ruimte – een zomers festival vol zachte klanken en open oren
Na het warme succes van Alle Tijd keren we deze zomer terug naar de zonovergoten Buitenplaats Brienenoord met een nieuw hoofdstuk: Alle Ruimte.
Aan het eind van de zomer – wanneer de dagen goud kleuren en de stad trager ademt – nodigen we je uit op een eiland vol lucht, licht en stilte. Hier vieren we wat misschien wel het kostbaarste is: ruimte.

Vanaf zes uur schuif je aan voor een gezamenlijke maaltijd aan lange tafels in de avondzon. Daarna ontvouwt zich een veelzijdig programma vol theater, dans, muziek, circus, performance en installaties van makers uit onze community.

After the warm success of Alle Tijd, we return this summer to the sun-drenched Buitenplaats Brienenoord with a new chapter: Alle Ruimte. At the end of the summer – when the days turn golden and the city breathes more slowly – we invite you to an island full of air, light and silence. Here, we celebrate what might just be the most precious thing: space.

From six o’clock, you’re welcome to join a communal meal at long tables in the evening sun. Afterwards, a rich program unfolds, filled with theatre, dance, music, circus, performance and installations by makers from our community.

[nl] Afgelopen vrijdag was de laatste vrijdagavond performance voor de zomervakantie, een poppentheaterproductie. Een samenwerking tussen Lisa Zakharova, Marieke Stein, Pier van Wijk en Lena Zweerts de Jong. zij brachten samen een voorstelling vol magie, mystiek en spel.

De voorstelling was een heerlijke afsluiting van de vrijdagavond programmering! Houd je ogen en oren open want we komen gauw met meer info over de aftrap van ons performance seizoen na de zomervakantie!

[eng] Last Friday marked the final Friday evening performance before the summer break, a puppet theatre production created in collaboration by Lisa Zakharova, Marieke Stein, Pier van Wijk and Lena Zweerts de Jong. Together, they brought a performance full of magic, mystery and play.

It was a wonderful way to close out our Friday night programming. Keep your eyes and ears open, as we’ll be sharing more info soon about the launch of our post-summer performance season.

On 11th of July, 20.00 we bring you a puppet show Raam stories! The entrance is free.

Lisa Zakharova, Marieke Stein and Pier van Wijk bring you a story connecting ancient times and future fantasies, features puppets of fascinating creatures and questions on evolution, purpose and care. So, come to our playful exploration of the familiar and the forgotten!

Raam stories is a project of makers of Buitenplaats, exploring storytelling in physical mediums, from papier-mâché to shadows. We experiment in combining contemporary and traditional storytelling methods to get to the bottom of what a story can be.

Vrijdag (Friday) is het wekelijks tijdschrift van Buitenplaats Brienenoord. In de zomerse 18e editie brengt Jonas Bleijerveld een collectie van verschillende verhalen, herinneringen en betekenissen rondom het thema “Short Shorts”. Een persoonlijk en lichtvoetige publicatie. Jonas hoopt dat de publicatie ons helpt reflecteren over het welzijn van q***r mensen en dat de zine een lach op je gezicht tovert, enjoy!

During this workshop, we dive into the imaginative world of the circus. From a magical hat, each participant draws a circus character – from clown to acrobat, magician to lion tamer. This workshop blends creativity, collaboration, and light theatrical elements, and is suitable for participants of all ages. No experience needed – just curiosity and a willingness to create.

Lead by Sofie Waas, artist-educator, for who interaction, experimentation, creative freedom, and joy are central in her visual work and her approach to art education.

From 11.00 to 13.00, for anyone from 6-106 who loves art, theater and music. A new workshop with new artist every Sunday.

Tijdens de workshop duiken we in de wereld van het circus. Uit de magische hoed trekken deelnemers een circuspersonage: van clown tot acrobaat, van goochelaar tot leeuwentemmer. Iedereen krijgt de kans deel uit te maken van ons unieke circus door een eigen accessoire of kostuumonderdeel dat past bij jouw personage. Er wordt gewerkt met diverse materialen, geschikt voor jong en oud!

Geleid door Sofie Waas, een kunstenaar-educator. In zowel haar visuele werk als haar visie op kunsteducatie staan samenwerking, interactie, experiment, creatieve vrijheid en plezier centraal.

Van 11:00 tot 13:00, voor iedereen van 6-106 die van kunst, theater en muziek houdt. Elke zondag een nieuwe workshop met nieuwe kunstenaar.

[NL] Veertig tinten groen

Vrijdag (Friday) is het wekelijks tijdschrift van Buitenplaats Brienenoord. In editie 17 brengt beeldend kunstenaar Sander Zweerts de Jong een specifiek kleurenpalet van het eiland in beeld. Een staalkaart van een gebied in veertig gradaties.

De veertig verschillende kleuren groen zijn slechts een klein gedeelte aan groentinten die op dit moment het Eiland van Brienenoord kleuren. Is het een begin van een kleurenarchief?

Vrijdag (Friday) is the weekly magazine of Buitenplaats Brienenoord. In edition 17, visual artist Sander Zweerts de Jong presents a specific color palette from the island — a color chart of the area in forty gradations.

The forty different shades of green represent only a small portion of the green tones currently coloring the Island of Brienenoord. Could this be the beginning of a color archive?

THE SIXTH ARTIST - NORTH SEA ROUND TOWN op 29 Juni !

[NL*] Buitenplaats Brienenoord en diverse andere plekken op het Brienenoord eiland

The Sixth Artist wordt een eendaags minifestival op 29 Juni op het Eiland van Brienenoord, met een aantal concerten en geluidsinstallaties die de geluiden van het eiland als uitgangspunt hebben. Elke kunstenaar zal het eiland gebruiken om zijn of haar professionele praktijk te versterken en uit te bouwen. Branko zal bijvoorbeeld spelen met takken en boomstammen, Viana zal zingen met de vogels of de golven en Pau zal fluiten maken van Japanse duizendknoop. Op deze manier wordt het eiland de zesde artiest van de dag. Verwacht concerten in het bos, aan het water en op en rond Buitenplaats Brienenoord.

The Sixth Artist will be a one-day mini-festival at Brienenoord Island, in which we will have a few concerts and sound installations that have the sounds of the island as a point of departure. Each artist will use the island to enhance and build on their professional practice. For instance, Branko will play with branches and tree trunks, Viana might sing with the birds or the waves, and Pau will make flutes out of Japanese knotweed. This way the Island becomes the sixth artist of the day. Expect concerts in the woods, near the water, and in and around Buitenplaats Brienenoord.

In this workshop we will cut out aluminum and copper sheets and make flat decorations from them. We will also carve pattern into the sheets by pressing on them. They can be used as jewelry, interior decoration or just find a place in your sketchbook. The result are dreamy and poetic figures that shine in the summer light.

The workshop is lead by Lisa Zakharova, she is a visual artist and educator. Her work in based in folklore, myth, nostalgia and memory.

From 11.00 to 13.00, for anyone from 6-106 who loves art, theater and music. A new workshop with new artist every Sunday.

Ze kunnen worden gebruikt als sieraden, interieurdecoratie of gewoon een plekje krijgen in je schetsboek. Het resultaat zijn dromerige en poëtische figuren die schitteren in het zomerse licht.

De workshop wordt geleid door Lisa Zakharova, zij is beeldend kunstenaar en docent. Haar werk is gebaseerd op folklore, mythe, nostalgie en herinnering.
