Sababa 5 are back where it all started.

With Ça Va Ça Va they tap into the sound of the hafla. Think Middle Eastern weddings, sweaty dance circles, hands in the air. Warm, rhythmic, full of life.

They recorded the album in Paris, but the feeling is pure celebration. Old memories, deep grooves, surf rock grit. Music that pulls you in and keeps you moving.

And this one hits different live.

Since his 2020 Tiny Desk session, Ondara has kept moving forward. Lockdown led to Folk n’ Roll Vol. 1, written in isolation and focused on identity, distance, and belonging.

In 2022 he expanded his sound on Spanish Villager No. 3, sharper songs with more edge and movement. A year later he won the International Songwriting Competition Grand Prize for “An Alien in Minneapolis,” confirming his strength as a songwriter.

His debut album Tales of America earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album, rare recognition for a first release.

The Jet Conspiracy Tour brings all of this together live, with more urgency, more volume, and songs built to hit harder on stage than behind a desk. 💙

Ondara brings the Conspiracy Tour to BIRD on Wednesday 11 February.

On this tour, Ondara strips songs back to their core. Stories move between identity, power, trust, and the quiet doubts people share but rarely say out loud. Each show leans on close contact, eye level moments, and space for listeners to respond. Voices in the room matter as much as the voice on stage.

Music as a shared experience, rooted in soul, honesty, and connection. A room where stories travel both ways, and where artists and audience meet without distance. 💙

Kaia Kater is bringing her stories to the water on Saturday 31 January.

Expect songs that feel like conversations after midnight: warm, sharp, full of history and tomorrow at the same time. Kaia moves between folk, Caribbean roots and modern soul like someone walking through rooms she knows by heart. Honest voice, clever guitar, no extra glitter needed. 💙

This Friday 16 Jan we welcome daoud to BIRD Rotterdam, a trumpet player who’s been shaking up jazz without asking permission. 🐦💥

Born French-Moroccan, daoud blends jazz with hip-hop, electronic beats and groove in a way that refuses to sit still. His debut album GOOD BOY (2024) landed with critical praise, named one of the year’s top records by outlets like TSF Jazz and since then he’s been lighting up stages from the Montreux Jazz Festival to a sold-out Ronnie Scott’s in London, opening for names like Erik Truffaz and Lakecia Benjamin along the way.

Live it’s tense, playful and full of contrast, trumpet lines that feel familiar but never predictable. This is jazz that moves, grooves and surprises. 💙
