Presenting my new free-funk-spoken-word trio Traumatic Octopus Experience, with the amazing Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva on fretless bass guitar, and the equally amazing Philipp Ernsting on drums. Here I'm reading a story by my beloved Vanita Monk (1944-2024), written by us and published in our 2028 novel Antarctica:

"The right hand has been in power for as long as there have been hands... And the left hand has had enough of the right hand's rule."
You can hear us live in Rotterdam on Tuesday September 3, as part of a multimedia extravanganza celebrating Vanita's 80th birthday. Featuring a 15-piece improvising orchestra, projections of Vanita's artworks, a lecture, album launch, and two special remote contributions. If you can't be there in person, there's a livestream.
