In collaboration with Tom Tomeij Photo & Film, we made this rather underground Pre-Wedding maternity urban love-shoot at the beautiful location of Fort La Chartreuse in Belgium.
Fort La Chartreuse is a fort built for the defence of the Belgian city of Liège. It was constructed in 1817 on the Mont Cornillon by order of William I and came into the possession of the new Belgian state after the Belgian Revolution in 1830. All these aspects contribute to an underground, raw film and photoshoot exactly as desired by the bridal couple.
During the shooting, pieces of the ceiling fell down, and the hundred-year-old stairs crumbled right before our eyes. But it was all worth it and more. It's also important to mention that Joëlla, who was pregnant with twins, struggled through the debris to create something beautiful together. Hats off!
And to top it all off, the weather conditions were perfect, making every shot a bullseye.
