This Den Hague-based DJ and producer with Russian roots and a love for UK and worldwide bass music knows how to mix together a hypnotic solyanka combining multiple genres and tempos effortlessly. His single 'Galaxies' was featured in Beatport's 'Best New 140' and 'Warmup Essentials' playlists.Together with Anecho and Lacuna, he started the LOW TIDE collective and party series. Let's be honest, you probably know the feeling of clickholing yourself into an audio oblivion down at the archives. Well I was there recently and I found me another diamond: babytomato. Groovy trippy dark industrial energy? Sign me up!

Anyway, mrtomato, sun-ripened in Lagos, Nigeria, isn't afraid to get weird. Or so he says himself. What I am particularly looking forward to is the "Occasional or****ic yelling and screaming from what might seem like the depths of heaven. But low-key", as mentioned in his bio. He also enjoys crafting manic atmospheres on the dancefloor. You had me at or****ic yelling.

Next weekend this will be a reality when we are hosting the afterparties with Mute 38. Two nights in a row, two nights filled with visual and audible madness. Aeon Tempo, babytomato and DJ Respekt, topped off with a sprinkle of team Mute: McGyver2.0, Bau Douin & possibly DJ Soulseek.
