On October 3rd and 4th, Funky Vinyl is hosting exclusive Vinyl DJ Workshops at Locael Centraal in Haarlem, for music lovers of all levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience behind the decks, our experienced coaches will help you take your skills to the next level.

We're proud to collaborate with DJ DNS and Pascal Bouberg Wilson from De Haarlemse DJ School, bringing together knowledge, passion, and years of experience behind the turntables.

Learn the fundamentals of DJing, beatmatching, mixing, and most importantly, the unique art and feeling of playing vinyl.

All levels are welcome. Learn from professional DJs and experience the authentic sound and feel of vinyl.

Joey Daniel is a Dutch DJ and producer known for his groove-driven, hypnotic house sound. With over two decades behind the decks, he has built a strong international presence, moving seamlessly between underground clubs and peak-time festival stages. And on the 5th of September he'll turn upside down.

With over two decades behind the decks and in the studio, Joey Daniel has built a reputation on consistency and a clearly defined musical identity. His groove-driven sound has taken him from the Dutch underground to a firm presence in the international house circuit, performing across clubs and festivals worldwide. Moving between intimate club settings and peak-time moments, he remains focused on his signature: hypnotic, driving and timeless.

In just a few weeks we take one of the most respected dutch electronic music producers to the beach. Paal69 will be his playground on the 5th of September when Steve plays the last two hours of Ongelikt.

Because as Miles had his horn and Pablo took to canvas, Steve has an unequalled gift for
(almost physically) connecting with every thinkable drum machine and synthesizer out there.

If the man had kids, boys would listen to Roland or Robert (Moog), and a girl would surely be
named Linn, after the machine made famous by Prince and others in the 80’s. Some claim
it’s analogue machine telepathy, others say he was born with all the right connectors and
inputs hidden somewhere underneath his trademark curly hairdo

On the first weekend of October, summer will be over. We turn Locael Centraal in Haarlem into the best nightclub in town. On Saturday night we invite the legendary Dimitri for an exclusive 3 hour vinyl session. Back to the Roost, back to where it all began.

No one less than Mike Ravelli will head up the dancefloor before this extraordinary journey begins.

On the 2nd of October we start our celebration weekend during Haarlem Vinyl Festival at Locael Centraal with The Credible 90's Party. A night full of everything that was good (in our opinion) in the 90s. Hiphop, house, rock, triphop, R&B, 90s club bangers. We're gonna be more than ready for this.

Het Huis van Funky Vinyl

During Haarlem Vinyl Festival on October 2, 3 & 4, Locael Centraal transforms into Het Huis van Funky Vinyl, a three-day celebration dedicated to the art, culture and community of vinyl DJing.

Curated and hosted by DJ Nobody Knows, founder and creative force behind Funky Vinyl, this unique programme celebrates 10 years of Funky Vinyl while paying tribute to the timeless culture of DJs who continue to keep vinyl alive.

From documentary screenings and exclusive vinyl DJ workshops to intimate record markets, legendary performances and unforgettable club nights, every moment revolves around one thing: music played the way it was meant to be heard.

Friday, October 2
We kick off the weekend with the Vinyl Bingo Dinner (18:00–20:00), where great food meets musical nostalgia in a fun, interactive evening. Straight afterwards, we turn back the clock with The Credible 90's Party, celebrating the greatest tracks of one of music's most iconic decades, all played on vinyl.

Saturday, October 3
Saturday begins with the documentary lunch hosted by Steppin to Tomorrow, featuring the acclaimed film Sample Not For Sale.
Throughout the day, visitors can browse the carefully selected records at the Killa Cutz Records pop-up market from Amsterdam, take part in vinyl DJ workshops, and celebrate 10 years of Funky Vinyl with DJ Maestro behind the decks from 16:00 onwards.

In the evening, The House of Vinyl takes over with an unforgettable night of local selectors. Mike Ravelli and DJ Nobody Knows set the tone before Dutch DJ legend Dimitri delivers an exclusive three-hour all-vinyl closing set.

Sunday, October 4
Sunday opens with another documentary lunch, this time featuring the legendary film Scratch, hosted by DJ DNS. Following the screening, DJ DNS will present a live turntablism showcase, demonstrating the art of scratching that made the film so influential.

The afternoon once again offers vinyl DJ workshops alongside the Killa Cutz Records market.

The festival reaches its grand finale with an extraordinary closing night featuring BBC Radio legend Gilles Peterson, supported by KC The Funkaholic, Head Programmer of Paradiso and curtator DJ Nobody

We’re thrilled to welcome the legendary Gilles Peterson to Haarlem Vinyl Festival on Saturday, October 4.

Join Gilles for an exclusive Listening Session at PHIL Haarlem, where he’ll share music, stories, and insights from a lifetime dedicated to discovering and championing groundbreaking sounds.

To close the festival in style, Gilles will take over Locael Centraal for a very special closing DJ set. This location is hosted by Funky Vinyl all weekend, where we celebrate vinyl DJ culture all weekend long. Expect an unforgettable journey through jazz, soul, funk, house, broken beat, and beyond—selected by one of the world’s most influential DJs and tastemakers.

Wow wow wow! We're still buzzing from last weekend where we celebrated summer with two of our favourite parties. We went from Brazil to Jamaica in a day with Samba at the Beach and Reggae at the Beach.
