โจ ONE YEAR AGO โจ
Exactly one year ago today, I stood on the stage at the World Cup Floral Art in The Hague. World Cup Floral Art 2025
Top 10โฆ which meant I had the opportunity to continue competing on stage for the title. ๐ณ๐ฑ๐ธ
In the end, my participation in the World Cup was awarded with an incredible 5th place.
One year later, I still look back on it with an enormous amount of pride. It was such an honour to represent the Netherlands on such a prestigious international stage. โค๏ธ
And what an incredible journey it has beenโฆ
A few weeks ago, we were invited to visit Michael Bayha and his wife Laurence in Germany. I gave Micha a beautiful photo book as a thank you for all his help and support in the weeks leading up to the World Cup. I am incredibly proud and grateful that he was there for me and helped me during such an important period in my journey. ๐๐ป
And then there is Hans Zijlstra โฆ โค๏ธ
My biggest support. Not only throughout all the preparations, competitions, sponsors and countless hours that went into it, but especially during that intense World Cup week. Always by my side.
I love you! โฅ๏ธ
The past year has brought so many beautiful things. New opportunities, wonderful projects and special moments that all came from the World Cup experience.
But it hasnโt all been easy.
I didnโt fall into the โblack holeโ that you sometimes hear about after achieving such a big goal, but I did come face to face with myself. I realised just how much I had given over the past few years. Not only to competitions and the preparations for the World Cup, but also to our flower shop and everything that comes with running it.
Thatโs why things have been a little quieter here lately.
I simply needed time to process everything and give it a place. Personally, mentally and physically. The quiet period that came after January was something I genuinely needed. Time to breathe. Time to slow down. ๐ค
And now Iโm looking forward, ready for everything the future will bring. ๐ฟโจ
