KATLEGO is a fresh and fearless voice within the Dutch alternative hip-hop scene. Her music is raw, honest, and constantly evolving — just like life itself, which serves as her greatest source of inspiration. Everything she sees, hears, thinks, and feels finds its way into her lyrics, resulting in a versatile sound where influences from hip-hop, soul, and electronic music come together.

She is rapidly developing as a live performer. She has appeared at Blockjam Noordstaat, brought the crowd to life during Noorderzon, and was part of the multidisciplinary collective Tijdlijn, with whom she created performances for Terug naar het Begin and Museumnacht, among others.

Her performances are energetic, immersive, and transcend genres. Her shows balance explosiveness with moments of stillness, leaving a lasting impression. KATLEGO aims to move people through her words, energy, and story — and through themes such as love, freedom, respect, and acceptance, she succeeds in building bridges between listeners.

STU33 is the place where young talent thrives! From the open studio in Lewenborg, young artists come together to create music, build beats, and tell their stories. A showcase of pure creativity and emerging talent. On this night, they step out of the studio and onto the stage at Simplon UP. Expect authentic tracks, honest lyrics, and a raw, unfiltered vibe. Support local talent and prepare to be surprised!

MOIRA ():

They have only just come around the corner, but are impossible to ignore in Groningen and beyond. Hard, raw, yet subtle. The band is multilingual and multicultural and has woven that into their danceable, alternative rock. A live sensation you can’t miss, before they take over the pop stages at a rapid pace.

Seize the day, but not your last one; let that one rot. Pick the fruit, or let it decay. Can you foresee the consequences? Does it raise existential questions? Good. Because Pluk dan wants to philosophize with you and search for meaning in life. Or perhaps not. The electronic synth sounds stir something within you and carry you away, while the acoustic elements ground you and bring you back to the everyday and the personal. An interdisciplinary, musical, and danceable experiment in which you are invited to experiment along at Simplon UP.

KRISTIEN LANDMAN ():

Sweet, beautiful, small, vulnerable, yet also groovy and upbeat. Before you know it, you start swaying gently from left to right, from left to right. A big band, with three-part harmonies. Three?! That adds depth. Just like her lyrics. Kristien writes vulnerable songs about very ordinary experiences that resonate deeply with her audience. It’s time to expand the repertoire with an original EP! Onna Limb (Koster & Knoef) take you into their tangible world, where they experiment live with video art and various musical pieces. This interdisciplinary duo, consisting of Sigrid Koster and Jochem Knoef, explores themes such as uprooting, technologization, identity, and the tension between the individual and the collective in their work. ZERGÜZEŞT ():

Zergüzeşt is a post-rock, prog-rock, and noise-driven project that explores grief, rebellion, and lost empathy. In this project, Yusuf Kemal Öztürk combines raw distorted music with protest and philosophy: “Zergüzeşt” is, in fact, a combination of the Ottoman word for “deep story” and the spirit of Zarathustra. Swinging between calm and collapse, Zergüzeşt prompts feeling and questioning. The project is also reminiscent of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tigran Hamasyan, and Sigur Rós. Witness how Zergüzeşt brings grief and resistance together in music at Simplon UP on June 11.

From//October is the brainchild of songwriter and producer Dion Tiktak. From//October offers an escape from the harsh realities of everyday life, inviting you into your own world. Taking you on a nostalgic journey through childhood memories, dreamlike landscapes and love, this lo-fi indie rock project whispers its lyrics to you, yet awakens with subtle shoegazy wake-up calls: never quite letting you drift too far. Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists, including Beach Fossils, From//October creates a sonic journey that brings you back to the sounds of the 00s.

S!X APPEAL ():

S!x Appeal is a six-piece blues/rock band, forged in the fires of late-night jam sessions and a shared passion for playing together. International but founded in Groningen, their place in the world is yet to be decided.

At the start of their writing process, they aim to impress and delight with their music. On stage, S!x Appeal captures a raw, high-energy sound where blues meets rock, blending in funk and whatever else feels right along the way. The band is a familiar face at the monthly jam sessions at Apex Boulders; a fitting setting, as they are climbing their way through Groningen’s live scene. Now, they take things UP!

EYESORES ():

When something disturbs you, your first instinct may be to look away, but Eyesores are something you cannot unsee. Not because they’re pleasant, but because they linger.

Eyesores hold a mirror in front of that which you would much rather destroy. This hunger for confrontation translates itself into quick, garage-punk tracks doused in gasoline and then set ablaze.

NOSE SHOP (.band):

Nose Shop is an absurdist Egg-pop band running on pure DI signal. DI’d SPD, 8-string bass, and baritone guitar cut every frequency bare. no gloss, no perfume, no safety net. Their lyrics wander through quirky philosophy. A seminar held in a storage unit. Nietzsche winks, Marx mutters, Kierkegaard sighs. Songs wrestle with free will, doubt, metaphysics, and the quiet absurdity of existing at all. It’s existentialism you can nod your head to.

SIMON JOAN ():

Simon Joan is a multi-instrumentalist from Amsterdam who, after years of performing in bands, set out to create his own deeply personal music. Drawing inspiration from The Beatles, Alex Turner and The Velvet Underground, combined with modern influences like Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, his sound blends vintage and contemporary elements into an energetic, dreamy “bedroom pop” style.

His music explores themes of ambition, love and escapism, balancing introspection with a playful spirit. Before going solo, he performed on major stages such as Pinkpop and the Ziggo Dome with bands like Orange Skyline and Mazey Haze. His debut EP Penthouse releases in February 2026, preceded by singles “Dream On” and “Division One.”

KIND HUMAN ():

Kind Human is the alter ego of Isabelle, a Dutch artist and fiercely individual creator who pours both head and heart into gritty, honest indie pop. When the world becomes too much, she retreats to her bedroom. Armed with heavy guitars, hypnotising drum machines, and the urge to speak her truth. What emerges isn’t polished pop, but a raw, unfiltered diary, moving freely between light and darkness.

Live, Kind Human brings that bedroom setting straight to the stage: pure, confrontational, and comforting all at once. It feels as if you’re sitting right next to her as she lays everything out in the open. Gritty, melancholic, and powerful, her songs hit like a cold wave, sharing an ongoing search for balance and connection.
