Van vrijdag 25 tot en met zondag 27 september ontdek je het Edese talent tijdens Springplank bij Wielervereniging Ede. Dit gratis showcase festival brengt muziek, urban sports en creativiteit samen.

Bij Springplank kom je niet alleen kijken, maar vooral doen! Er zijn twee podia met live muziek van hiphop tot punk en toffe dj's. Daarnaast kun je los in een pop-up skatepark, springen op een BMX-airbag, kijken naar live graffiti en meedoen aan verschillende workshops.

Honger of dorst gekregen? Haal wat lekkers te eten bij Edes Proeflokaal en pak een koud drankje aan de bar.

Matching BPM is the easy part. Making two tracks sound like one live production is where true mastery begins. 🎛️⚡

A flawless 2-to-3-minute blend in House and Techno isn’t luck—it’s structural architecture, harmonic alignment, and energy transfer:

Phrasing (32-Beat Blocks): Track arrangement dictates your timing. Align your cue points with phrase transitions so the blend feels natural, not forced.

Frequency Real Estate: Two sub-bass lines cannot live in the same space. Clean low-end swaps on the phrase mark keep the groove punchy and uncluttered.

The Energy Handover: Read the breakdown and drop dynamics of Track A to let Track B seamlessly absorb the floor’s momentum.

Harmonic Glue: Match keys and balance mid-frequencies to build a temporary “Track C”—a live mashup that only exists in that exact moment.

Ever wonder why your head hurt the first time you tried to beatmatch? 🧠🎧

It’s not just rhythm—it’s neuroscience.
When you mix two house or techno tracks manually, you force your brain into a state called Auditory Scene Analysis. Normally, your brain blends overlapping sounds into one layer. In the booth, you command it to rip that layer apart:

Left ear: locks into the master groove on the floor.
Right ear: isolates the cue tempo inside your headphones.

The reflex: your brain detects timing offsets under 10 milliseconds and corrects them before you even realize you touched the pitch fader.

With enough hours on the decks, brute cognitive effort turns into pure muscle memory and neuroplasticity. You stop counting bars. You just feel the drift.

Wie is Walter Vooys, dj/producer/events/djschool en prive, papa, lover, caretaker, vriend. Soms up en soms down.

Ik werk al 24 jaar in de muziek, vooral als dj en de laatste jaren ook meer als producer. Vind het heerlijk om te draaien en te spelen met de muziek om mensen zo te entertainen. Als house dj sta ik voor heerlijke blends en een goede vibe neer te zetten. Door mijn gevoeligheid voel ik makkelijk een zaal aan waardoor ik heel goed de sound kan aanpassen. Mijn passie is house! Maar kan ook zeker allround draaien daar ligt mijn passie meer bij de latin en urban en de disco.

Producties werk ik graag samen zoals met Paul Redford of du nord of andere. Hier in maak ik vaak house of aanverwante en heel soms een uitstapje naar andere style. Dit alles kan je horen op verschillende kanalen zoals spotify of soundcloud. Mijn goal is om heerlijke platen te maken die meer mensen willen draaien.

Wow wat een week...!!!🪩

Een zeer lekkere deep, tech, acid house tracks! Allemaal op vinyl. Gemixed met Technics sl1200 en een AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global V10 mixer! Met te veel leuke opties!!

Dit was vorige weekend in Astrant bij het event .collective

Mocht de boel opwarmen met mijn wat hardere platen in mijn collectie! Techno en tribal! Was heerlijk om te doen. En open met born slippy van Underworld in de nuxx remix! Was toch wel heel tof!

Over TmT komt er nog veel meer nieuws! Dus houd het in de gaten! Maar E.J. Broekman dit word echt mooi!

Zondag was mij ook een heerlijke dag! Ebeatza Events waar ik samen met Dj Jez en BARRY DU NORD een heerlijke middag en avond neer mochten zetten.

Hier ook nog te gek nieuws gekregen. Want ten eerste ik en barry gaan helpen met dit concept verder te helpen in de organisatie. En kreeg ook nog een boeking erbij om in de 𝗡𝗢𝗪&𝗪𝗢𝗪 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 🎲 bij Djis Ishkapoor te komen draaien b2b met de grote baas van dit event! Super vet!! 19-12 gaan we helemaal los!

Morgen is het zover Amsterdam Vinyl Club ga ik ook weer met vinyl draaien!

Radio Walter Vooys blijft maar door gaan. Er staat al een mix online. De begeleidende podcast is er nog niet. Maar dit komt door het format wat ik wil de aanpassen. Maar kom er achter dat dit nog best een gedoe is haha.

Dus moet echt even zitten over hoe ik dit wil doen. Als mensen ideeën hebben of mee willen helpen laat het mij weten.

Toen ik deze plaat voor het eerst hoorde in de Le Monde Bar in Val Thorens was ik direct verkocht. Dit ademt voor mij pure vrijheid en liefde! ❄️➡️☀️

Dé anthem uit de zeroes! Nu nog steeds zingt iedereen deze plaat uit volle borst mee. Deze specifieke remix van Steve Angello is wat minder bekend, maar o zo lekker.

Ook zo’n heerlijke, warme zomerse plaat. Deze heb ik destijds gekocht bij De Waaghals in Arnhem—wat een fantastische en mooie platenzaak was dat altijd om door de kratten te struinen. Pure nostalgie. 🛒🎶
