Over the past year, we’ve been asking ourselves one important question at DDG Europe: How do we make sure we’re still building a valuable, relevant and human company in the next 30 years?

That question led to the launch of our internal AI & Innovation Lab in Lisbon. Not because we believe technology replaces people. Quite the opposite!

We believe the strongest agencies of the future will combine:

· and smart technology behind the scenes

Over the last months, we’ve been building the foundations:
→ creating our AI roadmap
→ mapping nearly 100 internal challenges and opportunities
→ developing our strategic AI pillars
→ building our data strategy
→ setting up a dedicated AI & Innovation team in Lisbon

We’re incredibly excited to officially introduce the team behind the DDG AI & Innovation Lab: Hidde Dirkse, Nicolas Siebler and João Mayer.

Together, they’re helping us explore how AI and intelligent automation can create value for both our clients and our teams. From smarter internal workflows and better insights to new ways of strengthening the DDG experience.

At the same time, we’re discovering that building with AI also comes with important questions around structure, privacy, governance, scalability and focus.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more about:

→ what we’re building and learning
→ the challenges we’re running into
→ and what we believe this means for the future of agencies and experiences

#006 Wild Venue Wednesday
📍 Klassikstadt, Frankfurt, Germany

Some venues are memorable. Others become part of the event itself.

This week, Jearina Imanse wants to introduce you to Klassikstadt—a former industrial building in Frankfurt that now combines classic cars, restoration workshops, and event spaces under one roof.

Home to vintage Porsches, Ferraris, and automotive specialists, Klassikstadt is Germany’s premier destination for classic and sports cars. Yet it’s also an outstanding venue for meetings, conferences, launches, and private events.

Spaces range from intimate meeting rooms to an 800 sqm event hall accommodating up to 750 guests. There’s a rooftop terrace, covered courtyard terrace, a 3,000 sqm inner courtyard, and easy truck access for seamless event production.

What makes it unique? It’s still a working classic car hub. During your event, guests might walk past a Porsche 911 being restored or discover automotive treasures between sessions.

That’s the kind of experience people remember.

Edition #005 | Wild Venue Wednesday
📍 Palais du Louvre, Paris, France

Paris is home to some of the world’s most iconic event spaces, and few venues can rival the Louvre.

Known as one of the most visited museums on the planet, the Louvre also offers extraordinary opportunities for private events. Imagine welcoming guests to an exclusive after-hours tour, with private access to world-famous masterpieces, including the Mona Lisa.

At the heart of the venue is the iconic Louvre Pyramid, designed by I. M. Pei. Beneath it sits the Hall Napoléon, a spectacular 2,500m² event space that can host up to 1,500 guests for gala dinners and large-scale receptions.

#004 – Another one of Jearina I.’s Wild Venue Wednesdays

This week, Paris was meant to take the spotlight. But then Lisbon called.

Jearina and Sandra H. recently visited the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisboa with Conceição Silva, and the venue quickly earned its place in the series.

From the moment you enter, the hotel impresses with its scale and elegance: marble interiors, towering orchids, attentive service, and spacious rooms with city-view balconies. Luxury is in the details too — including a Dyson hairdryer in every bathroom.

Then came the real surprise.

The rooftop features a fully equipped gym wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lisbon, a dedicated Pilates studio, and something Jearina had never seen before at a hotel: a full 400m athletics track on the rooftop. With panoramic city views, it’s an unforgettable feature.

For events, the hotel delivers just as strongly. The Pedro Leitão Ballroom accommodates over 400 guests theatre-style and offers impressive AV capabilities, including full LED wall installations. The terrace, which was tented during the visit, immediately sparked visions of elegant dinners, live music, fairy lights, and Lisbon’s skyline as the backdrop.

And then there’s Lisbon itself. A city that charms effortlessly with its light, atmosphere, iconic calçada streets, and unmistakable energy. After the site visit, Jearina spent time walking through the city with a pastel de nata in one hand and a bica in the other, reminded once again why Lisbon holds such a special place in her heart.

We’re not here to convince anyone to host an event in Lisbon…
