BUGZZ is een food start-up in Amsterdam die heerlijk, voedingsrijk, en duurzaam eten creëert met het gebruik van eetbare insecten. We gebruiken hiervoor Nederlands lokaal gekweekte insecten. We bereiden ze los, gemarineerd of ‘au naturel’, of gecombineerd in gerechten met seizoensgroente. Ons beleid van zero-waste zorgt ervoor dat we minimaal aan voedselverspilling creëren

n producten met insecten aan omdat het kleine efficiënte voedzame voedingsbronnen zijn. Niet alleen hebben ze minder grondstoffen, water, en land nodig om te kweken, ze bevatten ook meer voedingsstoffen per kilo dan bijvoorbeeld rund. Hierdoor belasten ze milieu significant minder. Maar de grootste bijdrage is hun veel lagere methaan uitstoot. Het gekke is dat 80% van de wereldbevolking 1.600 soorten insecten eet vandaag de dag, maar we er in het westen eigenlijk niet aan moeten denken. Dat was vroeger ook zo met sushi…… tot Harry Goldberg de Californië-roll naar de Verenigde Staten bracht. We zijn in te huren voor events of voor bij je thuis en geven workshops en diners. Af en toe staan we ook op food events, festivals, en daarnaast zijn bezig met lokale concepten in Amsterdam. We were asked by the ._.union to be filmed for their short film on 'Novel Foods'. Pretty cool.
So, we headed out to to hand out some our Cheezzy Burgerzz and Hopperzz and talk to students about foods of the future.

New Vegan Cheddar!
Pretty epic and damn tasty.
Trying it out at tonight. So if you are around come by and try one our fine juicy Burgerzz. Or hop into a cult movie. Can't lose.
Vegan cheeses are getting better and better. This one really kicks ass. Can't really taste the difference and the reactions have been nothing but good.

We moeten onze eetgewoontes drastisch veranderen willen we de planeet en haar inwoners redden, zegt een team van internationale deskundigen uit zestien landen. Daarvoor moeten mensen hun vlees- en suikerconsumptie halveren en dubbel zo veel groente, fruit en noten gaan eten.
