We are so excited to officially introduce the Nieuw West Verbindt Project! 😊
At De Sering, connecting people through food has always been our mission. Now, with the support of Gemeente Amsterdam, we’re taking that mission directly to the streets of Nieuw-West🥣

We’re launching three programs designed to strengthen our connection to our neighborhood:

The Travelling Kitchen: Bringing fresh lunches and dinners to four different locations across thneighborhoodod. 🚚

Cooking Lessons: Learn the fundamentals of cooking and come learn our neighbors’ secret family recipes. Everyone is welcome to join us at Rhoneweg 6! 👩‍🍳

Repair Café: We don’t believe in throwing away things that are broken… we fix them! From carpentry to electronics, come learn new skills or help us keep our equipment running. 🛠️

Supported by Gemeente Amsterdam and our partners at , and .nl , we’re connecting with Nieuw-West so that everyone feels welcome at our table.

we’re very happy to announce that for the coming months we will be continuing our Community Kitchen at Sering Centraal on Tuesday evenings! 💥💖

it’s been an exciting first month, where we’ve dined together with around 200 people every Tuesday. thank you all for showing up and the support! specially to Mediamatic and our amazing volunteers 💌💌💌

we’re now feeding more people than ever ❤️‍🩹 to match the increase in meals served, we need utensils to feed more people with 🧑‍🍳

Our first of many Tuesdays at De Sering Centraal was booming 💥

What can’t be seen in this dreamy highlight - we ran out of aioli within 30 mins, all food was gone by 20:00 and every seat was filled many times over!!!

🥄 Do not fear: this was our trial run and in the long-term plenty of food will be there 🥄

Despite under-estimating our reach, the staff killed it with last-minute whipping in the kitchen and support from each other

⭐️ Thanks to everyone who showed up and proved that Tuesdays at De Sering Centraal are here to stay

Please note that we work with shared tables - finding a spot depends on the flow of the moment, but there will always be room for you in the end ❤️
