Making this (ALERT: long story) post with my fave summer song of this year 🧡🧡
What a summer it has been. Yesterday, the last summer wedding took place. So much fun with Michael and Kristen, such a beautiful environment and setting. I still can’t believe I met Michael in summer 2023 during while partying, and he told me he was just engaged. Sometimes you meet people and it just feels right. So honored to have been part of their wedding and making sure the day went as smoothly as possible. It was a pleasure 💋.
On Wednesday I’m going on a well-deserved holiday with my boyfriend, soon to be partner. So excited! I’m so proud, happy, and especially grateful to have met all those lovely couples. I can honestly say: meeting all those individuals, making their dreams come true, is what makes me happiest – it’s the part I love most of this job. From the beautiful venues in Amsterdam to the stunning countryside close to Maastricht, I feel so grateful to have been part of their love journeys 💍.
At the same time, this year has been quite intense: long working days, the passing of my stepfather, and now, while writing this and enjoying a glass of wine, I’m reflecting about the future. Can’t believe .events already celebrated more than +20 weddings since January 2023. Planning and organizing has always been my talent, and it feels amazing to see it come to life in every wedding. The bookings keep on coming in, which gives me so much energy (and with amazing weddings already confirmed for this fall and next year – I couldn’t be happier!).
At the same time, I’m planning my next steps. Which is >> a sabbatical. It’s so hard, because I always love meeting many new people, but next year we will only select a handful of bridal couples due to an exciting private journey. I’ll keep you posted of course. Can’t wait, after the holiday, to fully re-energize for the weddings of next year, while also celebrating my “sabbatical.”
