Last but not least on our line up in Club NL Amsterdam this Saturday: Mister Smile

What do you get when you put two long time friends behind the decks? You get a Mister Smile!

This techno duo from the Netherlands have known each other for a very long time, since 2019 they decided to collaborate. MJAY alias Marcel Crucq (Zaandam, The Netherlands) has been djing for over 20 years at events like Young Art Festival, Technostate and Woodlands Festival. Besides that he is hitting the charts with his productions along with Bob Sinclar, Dutch Deejays Dominate and Axel Doorman. If you add Vincent Weber (Castricum, The Netherlands) with tons of music knowledge gathered at his 2 clubs and djing for over 10 years you get Mister Smile.

Rumbling kicks, self made remixes with thrilling theme’s and up tempo techno is their recipe to make the crowd move from dusk till dawn. Although this new project started only 3 years ago they have already been playing at major events like Defqon1, Amsterdam Dance Event, Rammen Maar and Machine 909.

And this is only the start of this enthusiastic duo with the mission to make people dance, bring them on a musical journey and most important of all: smile.

Today we introduce Shydow!

Shydow released his first album Dawn of Man on Harthouse, label based in Berlin, last june. Follower of a groovy, hypnotic and mental techno, Shydow (aka Asio) is an artist who always aims to compose music that keeps the underground culture alive. After two decades of activity using different monikers, he decided to continue his journey as Shydow to confirm his influences: deep, techno, tribal.
After a few years of solely djing, he has started to release Original Music which landed on labels such as Harthouse, KD Music, Synewave, or Proper Nyc. Two years ago, Anja Scneider choosed him for a release on her label SoUs Music with Dada EP. He also launched his own label Orbeatal wich released music from names like Steve Stoll, Alexander Kowalski, Mario Berger, Deadbeat ...
His releases are acclaimed from international techno talents:
Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Kaiserdisco, Adam Beyer, Enrico Sangiuliano, Dubfire, Monika Kruse, Drunken Kong, Patrick Topping, Mladen Tomic and more. He received personnal congrats from Richie Hawtin for his first album.
His sets wander between many different dance floor styles like he uses to perform in Amsterdam (ADE, Paradiso Noord), Tokyo (Womb, Ageha), Germany, USA, India, France.

Next up at our Club NL Amsterdam edition: Kamara

Kamara are a Dutch Techno live-act that have been making waves way beyond their hometown of Arnhem in 2015. From their first forays into making music under various guises, Kamara were formed in 2010 and have been steadily building their way up through the echelons of the electronic underground.

Their sound palette is wide ranging within the techno sphere. From heavy repetitive techno with ethnic undertones, to a more melodic yet driving tech house sound, their musical path comes from the inspiration they get from the many different musical cultures they incorporate into their tracks. These worldly influences are distinctively heard in their sets, which are underpinned by the universal sound of electronic music.

Performances have been made at other leading events around the globe too, with festival and club appearances at Fusion Festival (DE) , Midi Festival (CN), Kommt Zusammen (DE), Ying Yang (Great Wall, China) Free Your Mind Festival (NL), Celia (CN), Echo Bay (CN), Crazy Lotus Festival (CN), Lantern (CH), Panama (NL) and The Mansion (CH).
